  5. Simple fix to make Gaian viable solo in tundra, and their Overclock ability more accessible outside of the Sea of Dust: Make it so that that Repair replenishes heat, up to say 70-85% of their temperature bar. It could be a fairly quick process, so that Gaians can finesse 3-4 seconds to repair during combat and get their Overclock bonus in regular environments, and perhaps spend around 20-60 seconds or so to reach such a heat % while in the Tundra.

  11. [Two Suggestions to Help Combat Exploiters]
  12.
  13. 1. Make Illusionist an easier to obtain Orderly class. Heck, in general, just make Illusionist a more fun and accessible class. That way, there'll be more of them around to catch mana fly gamers in the works. Most high-level houses use ESP anyway, so what's the real difference in letting more people access the legit ESP on their own?
  14.
  15. 2. Add some sort of incentive for people who consistently report exploiters. Whether that be a community ranking or some sort of cosmetic in-game, something to nod to people who go above and beyond in combating the ills our community faces will be beneficial in the long run.

  21. [A single powerful nerf that will make shinobi a more interesting and thoughtful class to play against]
  22.
  23. The greatest power of a shinobi is their grapple. It defines their mobility, exploration, and most importantly, their combat style.
  24.
  25. It does this by allowing the shinobi to place their opponents in an awkward position when they aren't using their Bane +Agility combo: in the air, and quite helpless. However, there is one current counter to this move aside from mana shield, that being to block the grapple. Even then, though, blocking grapples doesn't do much except knock the shinobi far out of reach.
  26.
  27. For these reasons, an intuitively simple nerf to reward blocking the shinobi's instant grapple is to make failed (regular blocked) grapples pull the shinobi right to the feet of their grapple target. That way, shinobis will need to be more thoughtful with their signature move, and playing against them will be less of an "avoid my free hits" sort of game.

  33. [A suggestion for my fellow suggestors]
  34.
  35. I suggest putting only one concise suggestion per post that you make, as opposed to listing a bunch of varying suggestions together.
  36.
  37. This is because of the nature of suggestion lists: people can't individually thumbs up or thumbs down the suggestions in the list they don't like.
  38.
  39. Because of that, if there's even one thing they don't like, they necessarily must downvote the post! (Otherwise they'll look like they support the stuff they don't like!)
  40.
  41. I hope you all take this into consideration when making your suggestions in the future.

  47. [A simple suggestion to make playing as a vampire more reasonable]
  48.
  49. The nature of shutdowns in Rogue Lineage is that a multitude of new servers end up being created at the same time when people rejoin. This is logical, but unknowingly creates the problem of most available servers following the same day/night cycle.
  50.
  51. Why is this a problem? The answer is simple: playing as a vampire. When 90% of the servers a player joins follows the same cycle, there's a nearly guaranteed chance that most of the time (67% of the time to be exact), vampires aren't able to do much at all.
  52.
  53. However, the solution is simple: make all newly-created servers start at a random time of day/night. That way, when a vampire gamer cycles servers, they'll have an easier time finding a ping-friendly server that's either at night, or that allows them to pass through an area that they need to.
  54. Counterarguments:
  55. @Adelards (DM-based): This change wouldn't remove vampires' vulnerability to sunlight in any way. Rather, it will make finding servers with the right day/night cycle more like finding trinkets, players to kill, and hunting for good ping: random, but within your control to engage with.

  60.
  61. [A small buff to make super sigil knight a more viable and distinctive class]
  62.
  63. As of currently, the Sigil Knight super lies relatively close to bottom tier when compared to other super classes. Aside from its relatively slow movement speed and lack of any moves aside from speccing into certain elemental affinities, there's also the issue of one of its base class origin moves being completely unreliable: Disarming Strike.
  64.
  65. See, the issue with Disarming Strike is a double-whammy: it has a painfully slow windup speed, and possesses a fat 30-second cooldown before you can use it again. In essence, it is both difficult to hit, takes forever to recharge, and is almost always a waste of hotbar space.
  66.
  67. However, to bump the Sigil Knight into a realm where it can compete with other super classes, this move only needs a simple buff. Therefore, I propose at least one or more of the following Sigil Knight passives for Disarming Strike to make it a more reliable and defining move of this orderly swordsman's class.
  68.
  69. 1. A shorter cooldown (30s >> 10-15s)
  70. 2. A shorter windup (0.7-0.8s >> 0.4-0.5s)

  76. [A change to make solo progressing to shinobi possible]
  77.
  78. There is no greater category of achievement in Rogue Lineage than conquering the daunting challenge of successfully progressing a character to ultra class unassisted. For most classes, this is possible, but for two, the illusionist and the shinobi, it simply isn't.
  79.
  80. I'll be talking about the shinobi today, and the reason why it can't be soloprogressed is simple: you need to lose an arm to shriekers, who, without intervention, will undoubtedly kill you in the process.
  81.
  82. For this reason, I suggest a simple fix: should you approach Owl (the shinobi trainer) with the required chaotic for shinobi, he will offer to cut your arm off. At that point, a player would only need reset to respawn at their inn, then to access an Engineer for automail (like the one at Emeraldstone Tavern).
