- Backstory: Altasal doesn't know what to believe anymore. She believes everything as a result. Her family was a large one farming a small field for a variety of crops. She cared for them(except maybe her older brother) and they cared for her. Most ofc her life's passed peacefully and she became the solution to scavenging Flying Types and Shadow Pokémon who skunk out of their hideaways. She would gleefully snap them into submission. After one hard winter, the family's food stores were running low. They would starve without a solution. Luckily, one came in the form of a traveling circus. The performers were all off-setting, but eventually, Altasal agreed to join them for a bit in order to secure food for the family. For a few weeks they traveled before an incident happened. Altasal had been working in conjunction with the resident Shiinotic of the circus to blow colorful spores to dazzle the audiences. The spores had a nasty side-effects if over inhaled. And they were. Altasal fell into a coma riddled by weird dreams monitored by the resident Musharna performer. After some intense work by the Musharna, Altasal woke up... as a completely different person. Gone was the tomboy farm girl from before. In her place was a new persona, a perpetually clueless, curious, kind mannered girl. In an act of desperation, the circus called in a Beeheyem to alter the Mareep's memory to true to revert her to normal. It seemingly failed, but truly just gave her brief flashes of clarity, usually brought on by intense moonlight.
- The circus suddenly grew alarmed when they noticed Altasal's scheduled time with the Circus was drawing to a close. None of their last minute acts brought Altasal back for a long time, so they hastily dumped the poor Mareep back at her home and sped off into the night. The family was astonished at Altasal's state and in the heat of the moment, her older brother and sister swore vengeance and ran off. They never made it back. The family had lost three of their children at the hands of the circus. They resigned to becoming shut-ins and trying to rehabilitate Altasal. One day while farming, a bird who Altasal can't remember for the life of her attacked while she was distracted. The end result was a dead father. The bird survived but was significantly charred. It came back later with its flock and killed her mother in an act of vengeance. Altasal managed to evolve and the discharge that resulted from all the excess electricity fried the birds. She struck the survivors down and strolled away with a grin and tune being hummed. She wandered the countryside, looking for something. She doesn't quite know herself that she is looking for her former self.
