       — Jaerin used to have such a happy childhood. She participated in her school's choir and performs with a kind of glory no one would expect for someone so young, her parents were proud of her. However, her parents are quite... conservative. Knowing this, Jaerin grew up quite confused with herself. She was at an age where she should be crushing on boys and be giddy over them to her friends... however, that wasn't it. She just wasn't attracted to the opposite gender, in fact, she would notice a girl's prettiness instead. Her family always thought that Jaerin was just a very friendly, passionate kid who admires a lot, as to why they never minded whenever Jaerin would gush about her favorite female idols.
	At the age of 16, Jaerin found herself a crush in one of her friends, and she had returned the feelings. They began going out, things were going smoothly between the two of them. Not people in school really thought much of it whenever they saw Jaerin and her girlfriend together, since they always had a "close friendship" where skinship wasn't a big deal. It was then Jaerin decided to come out to her parents after being with her girlfriend for 5 months. Of course... her parents did not take it well. Big arguments broke out and the night ended with Jaerin sporting bruises over her body.
	From there, things only seemed to go downhill from there. The next two years, Jaerin's relationship with her parents would never be the same. While as they tried to tolerate their lesbian daughter, Jaerin knew inside that she would never be accepted by her close-minded parents. There have been times when she would try to convince them about how she could never have a husband in the future, but those intense conversations would only end in either her being stuck in her bedroom or her smacked upside the head. With the growing hatred for her family, she decided that it was time to go off independently. Fortunately for her, SM accepted her after a private audition with them. She had packed all her belongings and the money that was supposed to be saved for her college and fled from the toxic house, with only a note saying that they might as well pretend they don't exist to one another.

       — Jaerin doesn't really do much, she likes keeping to herself. I could only describe her to VIXX's Leo, in which if speaking can be avoided in interviews or fanmeets, she would. However, if a fan asks her to do something, like aegyo, she would try her hardest to do so for them, even though she is cringing so much on the inside.
       — Whenever she's outside of work or off practicing, she is completely quiet. She had gotten better at expressing herself as years passed, but Jaerin just prefers to listen to others talking. Whenever people talk, Jaerin is always picking up every single word and every single detail. One member could have told her a particular sweater she had found the other day she liked, Jaerin would buy it for her for a special occasion, even though the time gap between that talk and the occasion could be VERY BIG. Jaerin just likes remembering particular things about people she admire.
       — She doesn't mean to, but she kind of has a resting-bitch face. Kind of an emotionless vibe radiates off her, like if you try to approach her, a grey cloud would appear above you with rain. While she can be silent most of the time, she doesn't hesitate to call out on someone's bullshit, which can be surprising to those who are around her. Being the great listener she is, she knows what's truth and what's false. Very tough whenever she needs to be. And once the situation is over, she'll revert back to her usual self.

It was tough on her mentally since she knew if she couldn't keep up with the other trainees, she wouldn't know where else to go.

   ✿ PERSONALITY AROUND JAERIN:
       — I feel Chungha would have an instant fascination once she sees her in real life. Really admiring her vocals, Chungha would be the first to approach and really try to get to know her. She's friendly and she wants to hang out with Jaerin so much, they're very good friends right off the bat. Despite being the same age, Jaerin's timid personality makes Chungha want to baby her a lot.

   ✿ PERSONALITY AROUND CHUNGHA:
       — Jaerin is VERY flustered. She had known her since seeing her on PD 101 and had always kind of had a crush on her. First few times of interacting with her, she's very shy and doesn't quite know what to say, but she's making the effort to try to befriend Chungha. While she still lacks in conversation, she does become much more animated and would put in her opinions more with Chungha.
