- Hello everyone! It's been a good month since I've said anything to most of you, and now I'm ready to deliver some important news. This will cover what I'll be doing for the next several months and my current standing on what I've done in the past.
- TL:DR AT THE END IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ ALL OF THIS
- First thing I want to talk about: What I'm going to be doing now that I'm feeling better. As you all know the last few years I've made speedrunning on twitch my main priority/hobby. I've met some of my best friends and had some of the best moments of my life during these years. I am very thankful as you know for giving me this opportunity, but I have some news that will make some of you sad. As of right now, I will be putting down my hobby of speedrunning/streaming for a while. I'm not saying I'm done with speedrunning forever, but it honestly hasn't been fulfilling me nearly as much as it used to. I've met all my speedrun goals that I really cared about and have no real regrets in terms of accomplishments (I would have liked to do more with MM 100%, but I wasn't super invested into it anyway). I MAY BE BACK TO STREAMING AT SOME POINT, BUT NOT FOR A WHILE! Also, I am not leaving the Twitch website entirely, I will still pop in from time-to-time to check up on some of my favorite streamers. Just because I won't be making content on twitch doesn't mean I won't be on it anymore, I mean I've been using youtube even after stopping video production, so this wouldn't be any different. :)
- So with that out of the way, you might be wondering what do I plan to do now without speedrunning or streaming? Well...if you knew me before I started speedrunning on twitch, you'd know I used to be a Let's Player on Youtube since 2009. I stopped in 2013 to start focusing on speedrunning as my passion for making videos and Let's Plays dwindled completely. I never made a clear cut video about my move on to twitch and discontinuing my Let's Plays for an undisclosed amount of time. I've had a feeling of regret ever since that I couldn't really hide completely. I kept looking at comments on my older videos from years ago at this point even asking me to come back and bring my channel back to life as several people enjoyed my content. It even got to the point where people who knew me on Youtube found my twitch and told me they wished I would come back. The fact they would actually look for any sign of me after disappearing from Youtube just to politely ask if I would come back made me feel even worse. I'm going to cut to the chase; I'm rebooting my Youtube channel and going to let's Playing.
- The immediate reaction from some of you I can imagine is disappointment, as Let's Plays are the exact opposite of speedrunning. I will not hold anything against you if you are turned off from this decision I've made. I am not forcing people to come over to my Youtube, but just know that the Twitch content with when I went live and highlights will be mostly replaced with when I upload a new video on my Youtube Channel. If you were only interested for my twitch and my speedruns then I'm sad to say you won't be getting those again for quite a while, if at all. If that was your sole purpose for following my twitter then don't hesitate to unfollow. Like I said before, I won't hold anything against you if the content I will now be producing is not what you're looking for.
- For those of you who are interested, you're probably wondering what I'll be doing to start my channel back up. Towards the end of 2013 I was in the process of making an Ocarina of Time Let's Play, but I will not be continuing it. I've lost my data for the original project (video, commentary, graphics and progress in the actual game) and have no real motivation to continue it or redo at this point. Instead, I'm going to be doing something I actually considered during November of 2013 and never went through with as that's when speedrunning became my priority. I originally made a video thanking you all for 4K subscribers on my channel and said I'd do a
- Level 1 Proud Let's Play of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD. Well...only about 3 years later I'm finally going through with it!
- Note that I'm choosing to do this project for 2 reasons: Taking this opportunity to get my channel back into the swing of things as well as redo a very old LP of the original Kingdom Hearts I did in 2011. I will be doing various other games, not just ones I've been streaming in recent years such as the n64 zelda games and KH games. I will pretty much stick to my old format of creating videos and just do whatever game I feel like whenever I feel like it. I don't even know what games I'll be doing after KH1FM, but after doing this project I should have several games in mind for future projects going into late 2016/early 2017.
- Thank you all again for making the last 7 years of my life something special, I'm hoping more great things come from the next chapter of my journey online. I'll of course still be able to be contacted through my twitter and discord, but Youtube PMs are what I'll be looking into now instead of Twitch PMs.
