The first thing you notice: Would be that the 5'8" woman was over half leg, and all curves and beautiful angles. Impossibly beautiful in a dark way, and a face that went from sweet to solemn.

Petrifying Gaze - can transform matter and objects, including living beings, into stone by looking at them.

Venom Secretion - possesses venom that is coated in/secreted by her skin, fangs, claws, tongue, etc., which can extend to their target upon contact. The poison can have a variety of effects, ranging from sedation, paralysis, mutation and instant death.

Enhanced Condition - unnatural senses, strength, fortitude, celerity, and dexterity that can not be easily explained. This also extends to personal health, as never suffers from illnesses that plague mankind. However, still can fall prey to poisons or allergies.

Snake Physiology - can mimic the abilities/attributes and transform into snakes (of varying sizes).

A survivor of rape and being forsaken by her goddess, its left notable scars on her psyche. Especially with personal relationships. She is prone to night terrors, and cannot stomach sexual or physical abuse towards a woman or child. Medusa is not a fan of cold weather -- particularly when there is snow, as she is accustomed and better suited for warmer climates. This increases the likelihood of being lethargic or ill. She is a strong swimmer and superb dancer.

Small Background: A misunderstood and mythical creature that was once a devout priestess of Athena, dedicated to immortalizing memory and practice of her tenants. However her beauty caught the insatiable eye of Poseidon, who despite her protests and pleas to remain chaste, was taken savagely on the floor of Athena's temple. Broken and ashamed she pleaded for mercy, but was instead punished for a wrong that was not her own. For surely it was a woman's sin to tempt a man? Or perhaps wisdom was absent the day of sentencing..

As bountiful hair gave way to a viper's nest, eyes and canine took on serpentine qualities (paralytic and deadly). Soft pliable skin shifting into scales that can make it difficult to grapple. The cruel result of a soul's reply to a great and unforgivable wrong visited upon the individual. Or had Athena instead given a true face to the rage that burned like an inferno beneath the surface? As a soul twisted by hatred and outrage could no longer support a lovely visage.

For numerous years she haunted the caves on the island of Sarpedon with only the occasional visits of her sisters for company. For all that met her stare were overwhelmed by terror at her hideous appearance and turned to stone. It did not help that rumors of a great treasure brought foolish adventurers there, or others with the designs to slay the infamous beast. But in the end, it was Athena that failed her the second time and sent Perseus with the knowledge to use her own reflection as a distraction. Upon the hour of her death, she gave birth to Pegasus and Chrysaor.

For over three millennium she was a resident of the Asphodel Meadows, as she had not committed a crime to convict her to an eternity in Tartarus, nor had she managed to earn the tilt of scales for the guidance into Elysium. And so she was forgotten, save for a story to warn young women about the dangers of men and gods. Until three years ago, when Hades himself, had her fetched to his chambers with an offer for rebirth in exchange for servitude. As her head had been severed and lost over time, a new one matching her true self was rewarded and she was stripped of the wrongful curse upon her. But as her position was meant to be that of a lethal nature, key elements were kept in tack but made manageable so long as she was loyal to her master.
