That seemed to just enrage the monster all the more, and he let out
another GRAAAWWR! But right then, he pulled back and stretched to his
full height. The rocks rattled and began to fall.
Each time he moved his gigantic hand, a shower of sand, stones, and
large boulders fell from above the two men.
“My god!! . . . What’re we gonna do?”
They shuddered in fear. With each shower of debris, the two men pressed
against one another. They frantically tried to escape the avalanche of rocks,
but that only made Godzilla’s eyes glitter with an even more berserk look.
The rocks began to rattle and break. The gap between the rocks was
growing bigger, and they could see more of the monster’s full form. His
gigantic hand was getting close. He let out one more loud roar and plunged
his hand into the widened gap, nearly reaching them.
The two men let out a shriek and curled up. As Godzilla stuck his hand in
and unfurled his gigantic claws, he could almost reach them. He was less
than two meters away.
The boulders Godzilla dislodged had sealed up the only escape route.
Now, his hand was right over them. He continued to wriggle his hand closer
and closer. Anxious sweat dripped from the brows of the two terrified men.
Godzilla was practically on top of them.
