Nothing much. It feels like the story is stalling. The foederati has been left behind in its home, so what's stopping it from undoing its bindings andbtrying to get other foederati to go andnfk the protag up? Unless sinners are so inept, they can't even try to free themselves. I'd like to see reactions to the protag vmitting liquid corruption up or even praying. The latter is probably to pss off a lot of present hellspawn and sinners.

I feel it too. So, I tried to use this one to set up the next chapter. The foederati isn't tied up, he's a broken bones mess. It can't move. Since the lapses in memory make everything jumpy, I'll try to clarify what I can in the next chapter.
