  1. 16 years ago, the once-prosperous land of Rin fell victim to a terrible curse, where its people would reincarnate after death and slowly lose their minds in the process, eventually becoming shades of their former selves referred to as blanks. In response to this, the royal priests stormed the king's palace, driving him away to places unknown. The priests occupied the palace for a spell but mysteriously vanished overnight, never to be seen again. Some time later, a second order from the southern land of Sarnath migrated to Rin in order to capture the afflicted, try to break the curse, and prevent it from spreading to the rest of the known world.

  3. On their travels throughout Rin, the party will encounter many powerful creatures. Because of the curse, these creatures' souls can be manipulated to create a unique weapon, gain some new ability or add a Soul Point to the party. At 5 Soul Points, the players will be able to choose a new skill from their race or class. The most powerful enemies, known as Immortal Souls, will automatically grant 5 Soul Points.

Once all wounds are lost, the character cannot be used. The only way to restore these lost wounds is by killing another NPC or even a PC by using an item known as an Orb and appearing to them as a red phantom.

  7. In addition to this, being attacked while helpless can have additional effects in addition to the damage dealt. These severe injuries can range from a simple additional roll to recover from helpless to being put in a coma and unable to recover for the rest of the fight.
