I come from TH and I find the way you work very messy for myself. I had hoped that there was a bit more structure within the team and then I think of event assistants who each time assess the host on their 'skills' and process that on the forum so that the ea's can make a review on it. That you are a bit stricter in the mins and it is messy because everything runs together.

By this I mean that you will not be 'trained' when you are new, so you will be left to fend for yourself, you do not have to advertise as host (which is important to attract people to your fan site). That does not mean that you are bad as fansite you work differently than others do and I think that I am not so good with what I am used to do

you're meant to advertise, a lot of people lately don't seem to be doing it but we're just not super strict about it
i think you could still be a good fit if you want!! it just hasn't even been enough time yet :frowning:

LOL i dont say TH is better, but i think theyre better organized

well yeah i mean we normally don't call it things like bonding, we normally say like "hey guys!! here's this competition" or "here's this cool idea!!" bc most people generally don't know terms like that so we have to explain it so i get where people would be confused

i mean we make it a point to say "if you need help please reach out!!" bc every host is different and we don't know if they have experience already, etc, like i've had many situations myself where i try to coach a host essentially and they tell me to "back off" because i just want to help, so we've cut back a lot on trying to essentially micro-manage our hosts but we're always willing to help in any situation
it just works a lot differently here!! i know you're really used to TH but it's still barely been any time :frowning:

yes i get what you mean but even then like we don't know what they don't know if that makes sense
we can try to help as much as we can but some people just get frustrated with us and some people just completely ignore our help
that's why we tend not to go that far anymore

we try to have resources (on forum, being available) etc
there's still structure it's probably just not the kind that you're used to

but we've had past issues of overcommunicating and people getting frustrated w us when we're trying to explain things as simple as the time change
so we have resources on our forum and we always make it a point w hosts that if they need help that they are free to reach out in chats
and literally anyone will be able to help them if possible
that's why we also have the resources of these people being able to PM any senior+ staff especially if it's something important that they need extra help on
