  5. First of all, sorry these updates are so far apart. It's almost nothing but renamed files these days and there's very little fun to be had maintaining this. The main mod has long since lost what made it great in my opinion, I only really set aside time because I don't want to disappoint the people that actually use this, but the level of quality in each update and the fun levels of the new things they bring to the table just aren't what they used to be. And again, most of that's broken isn't because it's something new and exciting, but rather because someone decided to rename dozens of files in order to make it seem like they have Github activity or something on that level of excitement.

  7. I'm sorry I cannot push myself deliver things as well as I used to, but well, nor can the KR team itself these days.

  9. Anyway, here's to another underwhelming update with file name changes being responsible for the bulk of all edits. Swear to God the first folder I opened was just five file name changes. As always, please consider playing EAW or OWB or something else instead. This is more boring than any schoolwork or office job I've had in my entire life. This is a level of tedium that eclipses doing taxes.

  14. Well, more of a soft rebranding. Who on earth asked for this? Who thought erasing a bunch of old lore and calling it a day was a good idea? At least it isn't Vote Pig.

  26. ACC - Stop me if you've heard this before, but in the spirit of change for change's sake they renamed everyone. They also deleted some people and added new ones that serve the exact same function. I'm so tired of this. There aren't words in the English language to describe how boring this is.

  31. APG - They renamed everyone for no reason. New name is terrible, by the way. Repaired all broken files stemming from this unnecessary change. Literally nothing here is new.

  33. WCA - They deleted some people and added new people to replace them, likely because it was this soft rework's dev's favorite people from this era and with no change in function. Name and new flag are straight downgrades, you couldn't pay me to update the emblems on the generals and politicians. Also everyone was renamed and this has been repaired.

  43. Everything else is just your usual updates for the most part. In other words, hundreds of renamed files as they alternate between adding and removing middle names. I'm assuming the only positive that could come out of this would be that the MX dev can take some down the line. By the way, you should play KX with MX instead of this.

  70. GBR - Fixed one person that was deleted and replaced with someone that does the exact same thing and fixed a delayed file rename from that one time when they forgot to rename all operative portraits to abide by their awful new file formating that literally no one else uses.
  71. GUJ - Pratap Singh Rao Gaekwad - New portrait. Freshly renamed, too!
  72. HYD - Updated regional spellings of names my behated.
  73. KAZ - They renamed 75% of the people here for no reason. Repaired.
  74. LEC - Hans Speidel - They randomly deleted the German guy and replaced him with Speidel instead??????
  75. LEP - Lu Xiangting - New portrait.
  76. LIB - They added middle names to everyone in this folder for no reason. Repaired.
  77. LIT - Delayed fuse renaming of an operative. Literally all my secretary jobs in the past were more riveting than this.
  78. MNR - "Let's update this random guy's regional spelling again, why not?"
  79. MON - Darijaya - New portrait.
  80. MON - Jengjuurjab - New portrait. Btw Sternberg was broken because they removed the "von" from his filenames arbitrarily. Watch as they re-add it next week.
  81. NEE - Styles Bridges - lmao they added a "portrait_" prefix this time.
  82. NFA - They renamed the handful of people in this folder they didn't bother renaming last time and removed their "portrait_" prefixes, meaning that our long national nightmare is finally over.
  83. NGR - Mohamadou Djibrilla Maiga - New portrait.
  84. PAP - File renamings that contain the same errors they renamed Sternberg over so I look forward to doing this again the next time I can be bothered to update.
  85. PHI - Delayed fuse on the whole "let's rename every single portrait" nonsense from a few months back. I swear to God I hate this so much. Please play KX instead.
  86. POR - Guilherme Ivens Ferraz - Placeholder retired.
  87. PRF - Rajaram III of Kolhapur - New portrait. But knowing my luck, they just moved him out of an Indian splinter and renamed him to something that doesn't pop up in searches again.
  88. RAJ - Khizar Hayat Tiwana - Recycled a deleted portrait in the same folder to put in place of a new one.
  89. RAJ - Mohammad Siddiq Choudri - ^
  90. RUS - Georgy Stark - Dupe demolished.
  91. RUS - Maria Spiridonova - Dupe demolished.
  92. RUS - Scientists - Partly repaired the scientist folder, which now exists here and not in the "Scientists" folder like in the actual game for reasons that I'm sure exist. I'm so tired.
  93. SIK - Bburhan Shahidi Civilian - New civilian portrait. They're going to rename the non-civilian version to have a "_military" suffix soon, I just know it.
  94. SPA/SPR/SWF - A bunch of people were renamed for no reason, usually just to add a family name or a "y" between names. It's the one where they just copy the name from the Wikipedia article again so I'm getting flashbacks to that one time they renamed literally every single portrait to remove "portrait_" from each of them and then add a Wiki article copy-paste.
  95. SER - Aleksandar Rankovic - Recycled a deleted portrait in the same folder to put in place of a new one.

  105. +Tons of folders had arbitrary renamings of files all over the place because this mod is absolutely awful. Usually just giving people middle names. But even that's inconsistent so I think they just do it back and forth at random. I swear this is a Git activity racket.

  107. Scientists remain broken because it's been hours fixing this nonsense and it was all for no reason and completely arbitrary. There isn't even any internal consistency to any of this. I'm so tired.
