  1. The woman didn't move for a long while, but eventually she put her weapon down. She leaned down gingerly and picked up her clothes, still cautious of the man. He was larger than her, sure, it was as to be expected of a male, but what she really was worried about was the horse. It was quiet at first, barely above a murmur, but she cleared her dry throat and spoke again. "Forgive me for my... rash behavior. I'm wary of strangers. If you wouldn't mind, what is this land?" Her voice was soft and low, but at least this time it was clear. She reached in her satchel and held up a hard chunk of bread as an offering of peace.
