                 ❖ being born under the shade of riches, never did leonna face any difficulty of life, aside from her parents fighting — which is often. one can say everything was pretty much done for her, which developed her narcissistic and obnoxious side. she wasn't an effervescent child as well. as a young lady; queen, rather, in the making, her parents have already set their standards and molded their daughter's path growing up, that includes their unreachable expectations for a normal child to achieve, they wanted the best for leonna as a child who has yet to learn stuff. they want her to be a formidable woman who can handle herself in the near future, someone who isn't hesitant to voice out their true opinions and feedbacks, therefore they always set their standards high, preparing their daughter for the upcoming future. some even think that leonna's childhood was harsh, but for her, it was far from it. the reason of this is because they know that they have less time left, therefore the throne needs to be passed on to their daughter.

                 ❖ some say that her youth was 'wasted' by doing nothing but learning etiquette, manners, doing traditions, everything that a woman compromises of. however, it wasn't like leonna minded — for her, it was perfectly normal, she grew up in an atmosphere like that, so she'd obviously find comfort in it. as a child, leonna lacked social contact, developing her weak social skills. these years made her fluent in japanese, however, since they were confident that she will be handling the throne in the next few years or so, she wanted her to be multilingual, her parents taught her korean along with english, and being the fast learner leonna is, of course she adapted to the medium more quickly, lastly, a bit of chinese just in case. if it wasn't for their (leonna's parents) assigned time of death, leonna's lifestyle would've had a bit more fun than what she used to experience. but at that time, her parents never made it through a deal they made once, therefore they needed to die as a punishment. they never told that this was the reason towards their daughter, they even staged their death to look like someone has murdered them both, but honestly — it's just a fate they needed to face.

                 ❖ her parents had quite the standards with her achievements, this had also resulted in making her despise losing, she liked winning, and even takes pride in it. an imaginative and creative mind was always in this individual, although it may not show due to her quietness — her mind already has a lot to say, it's just that she prefers to keep it, in hopes to not form a sort of quarrel. leonna's parents always want her to be at the top, training her nonstop just so that she will hopefully never face defeat in her entire life. from a range of perfect swordsmanship, accuracy, agility and such, although it might seem harsh, leonna was always taught to have a practiced smile across her face and take on the hardships of life. they didn't have much time left until they face their death, her parents planned all of this really throughly, from how many years she would start her training, learning manners, preparing to be a future queen — they estimated the time for it to take to form her into a lady until their life finally comes to a halt.

                 ❖ right when she struck the age of 16, that's where leonna's life immediately went downhill. her parents apparently were 'murdered' as people told her, she chose to believe it — at least it was a reasonable reason for death. what she was always curious on though, was the reason why they were murdered, there has to be, no one would kill someone just for pure hatred. it's either that her parents did something wrong or wanted this to happen. at the day of their death, it's when leonna finally realized everything piece by piece. all the training they gave her just so that she'll be prepared for this, this one thing that she'll have to go through that is hard for most people around her age. she indeed felt empty and saddened, but never did a tear trickle down on that face of hers. it was as if she felt emotionless, things escalating too quickly for her as she started realizing everything until it made sense. she wanted to cry, but the words that she has to always remember rang inside her head into oblivion, as if it was nonstop:

                 ❖ it was when leonna got her fruit cocktail in her glass but the sight of sushi near the table caught her attention, so by instinct, she left her glass on where the fruit cockrail was and went to the table where food was placed and got her sushi. but little did she know that the waiter who was cleaning the tables and such accidentally switched hers and soonyoung's cup, so when she came back, she accidentally drank on the glass which wasn't hers.

                 ❖ so as she was drinking, soonyoung also picked the glass which was leonna's started drinking on it. both oblivious that they just had an indirect kiss just now. while leonna was busy studying the venue, her eyes immediately landed on the male beside her, more specifically on his glass. leonna noticed a peculiar detail, she knew she got a glads which had a flower design on it, and when she looked at the one she just drank at, the design was a goddamn star, she knew it wasn't hers — more specifically, she knew it was his cup, the king of netherlands' glass. upon the realization, since she doesn't know how to tell it to him directly, leonna faked a cough which caught his attention.

                 ❖ worried, he asked what happened and why she coughed. they immediately took note of each other's occupation and bowed down, and there, leonna began telling him that they pretty much had an indirect kiss. he almost couldn't believe it until he looked at the glass in his possession, indeed, there was a flower design on his while hers had a star.

                 ❖ leonna emitted a sheepish chuckle as she lowered her head down, trying to apologize until she felt a strand of hair getting tucked behind her ear. she looked up, seeing him emanating a slight chortle as he bent down to whisper in her ear, “it's fine, princess. maybe next time it's not an indirect kiss anymore,” leonna could feel her cheeks have a dust of a pink hue as she stared at him in bewilderment, while he just had a smirk etched on his face.

                 ❖ it was as if they were having a mini staring contest until soonyoung took one of her sushis on her plate and ate it, making her shocked and angry at the same time. but the way that he ate the sushi was just too cute that leonna just ignored the fact that she ate her sushi and admired his adorableness, soonyoung seemed to catch this as he smirked at her once again. before he can say anything, leonna just rolled at eyes before saying that they should find a table rather than standing in the middle.
