1. [box]Episode V : Fix You, and the Pomp
2.
3. Will Felix ever catch a break from emotional mess he's getting crushed underneath? Well it won't be happening in this episode because that's just not possible for this dude. Frederic is not getting himself into a better situation with his jumbling of balls, and coaches Antoine and Samuel reminisce their old days as an undergraduate in very same buildings, under the pressures of early-season trainings.
4.
5. What is going on?
6.
7.
8.
9. After the horrible Friday he's had to go through, Felix is back home to his mum and brother. With his father, Dr. Yang, far away in Saint John as an university professor, and his brother entering his junior year of high school, Felix feels great pressure in being the male of this house. His brother, a clear opposite to loud-mouthed Felix, doesn't talk often, so he at times has to serve his role as a verbal companion of his mother in kitchen, meals and other occasions. After his earlier failures he's a bit beat, but handles it somewhat well; failure that night is something his family is better off not hearing about.
10.
11. At the floor meeting for the week, Liana can't help but to stare at Liana, something that catches the eyes of his roommate Yeong Shik. Quickly the word gets around that Liana's back single in the market, giving his eyes a much-needed green light just as his don, a senior Fine Art student named Emerick, enters the space. The don is very much aware of new tensions happening in the community, and with his background.....both Jordan and Felix could be in for trouble.
12.
13. Emerick is starting to show his interesting presence as well, as he accidentally bumps into Felix, who is found waiting Marie for dinner after her class in Namdo Hall. He does not pretend to notice, however, and decides to walk away. It is found that he is also playing the game RLStates, but as a nation Irish Highlands.
14.
15. Meanwhile, we proceed as few fencers in Mount Ester University, on their reading week, join those in Kirkenes for the practices. Realising strong tensions between them, they don't get along as well. Coach Antoine, noticing this, tell them to mingle with each other and be themselves, not as varsity athletes of their respective institutions and certainly not as contenders in upcoming season. Coach Samuel agrees to this sentiment, giving each of them a special reminder of friendship and being frenemies. Back at his home, Eric asks his father when he plans to be present for Thursday, to which the coach responds that he'll be on a pre-season media session. This does not go well with Eric, who has a parent-teacher's interview that day, and reminds him to reschedule them to the early afternoon.
16.
17. At the hospital, good things are happening : Ellie's date of surgery's now decided, with exactly a week to spare. Amidst the calls of her parents who are claiming that it may be too late in race against the time, Alain has to remind people that everything will be fine and that god will be present for her in darkest of times like right now. When moved to the new ward, Ellie and we get to meet Vincent Joplin, a long-time veteran with many stories of war and coping back in 1st Acadianan and Bakongan Civil Wars. They get along somewhat well, as Vincent tells him of his old times. Though he may look different, we get to realise that he is still a father, a husband, and a patriot.
18.
19. We then roll to Marianne Dalembert, whose growing responsibilities and expectations hit with the circumstances. She is first seen eating lunch in the athletics and recreations centre with Nicolas Amoroso-Veteto, before reading a letter from her mother in the war zone. Nicolas is certainly understanding of the grief, though he questions a lot on the validity of this war and whatnot. Later in the dinner we see Marianne reading her letter to the grandfather, who asks her when Mona will be home over the Skype. Sergeant Mona says 'as long as they need me', before they talk of the new coach, whom she's heard of before. It's found out then that sergeant Mona's had a cousin who were also in Domhnalls with both Samuel back in 90s. She informs him to make sure to be careful with the Mount Ester coach, given his tempers.
20.
21. Over in the piste, coach Antoine is giving a 1-on-1 session to Marianne with Samuel present. With this not going particularly well, and her seeming to struggle with the pace of the practice, Antoine lashes out at his captain for not putting her head in the game and that she needs to not think about whatever that may be ahead. When it seems like this may go too far, however, coach Samuel scolds him and separate the two - before informing him that they'll switch on who to coach because right now is not the time to do so. Marianne says nary a word in middle of all this - she does, however, prove her worth in front of coach Samuel, leading to much-intrigued Julien and Felix praising the coach.

28. Quotes of the Episode
29.
30. "Forget everything, Forget whatever you have in your mind and focus on the piste! Rule 418!"
31. - Coach Antoine Kim -
32.
33. "There comes the time when you wonder of other options and things it would've redirected me to. But isn't it too late to contemplate about such things, when we're already way too drifted into separated directions?"
34. - Coach Samuel Park -
35.
36.
37. What Worked
38.
39. • I loved the scene between the quiet volcano of Marianne Dalembert, who is going to be challenged by the coach Antoine on purpose, and the coach Samuel - it reminded me of new dynamics possibly sprouting between top programs of Kirkenes and Mount Ester.
40.
41. • Mattiheu Konstantidis continues to impress as Coach Samuel and Yoo Seok Park had a couple of impressive scenes as the coach and administrator with impressing vibe not detected from earlier. There is certainly very fast development with character background and whatnot, all the more so when you consider that it is the parallels of past and present for coaches Ahn and Yi in real time, but is done well with enough holes for the viewers to stay tuned for the rest of the series.
42.
43. • The title sequence. It's very unusual for the series to have different title sequence rolling in middle of the season, and the change today worked very well to surprise me. It captured everything, from what you expect to get to a couple of surprises you might get or not. Today's one included the pomp and circumstance tune playing behind the theme song as a counter, an unique experiment alluding to the content of the episode, while montages of shouts, old photos and so on count for the rest.
44.
45. What Didn't
46.
47. • The ending. Everything was going up and up and boom. You had to end it just as he crashes into the bed. It would've been better if the plot was compacted to perhaps push to finish at the very scene where he is about to get out of the cafeteria and see his friend....don't worry guys, you'll get what I mean by the time next episode rolls around on your home video set.
48.
49. General Thoughts
50.
51. "This, for me, is more of an episode particularly reflecting. We all have those moments when we come back and realise that so many things you've shared with a friend, it's there but not there at the same time. Both coaches Antoine and Samuel are passionate but also lonely beings, both forced by the circumstances, so that's where the best parts of the episode came from. We also get to see the students getting driven to further moments of complications and insanity, which I approve wholeheartedly of. One of better episodes this season."

55. ROBIDOUX-KWEON, Lieutenant Cedric
56. January 18, 1981 - October 18, 2004
57.
58. On the late night of October 18, our beloved Cederic left this world at the age of 23 to join his grandfather. He was the proud son of Gaetan Kweon and Gaelle M. Robidoux of Quebec City and loving brother to Alexis, Antoine and Samantha. He also leaves behind the grieving grandfather, Noel Kweon of Levis, Capitale-Nationale, and Jean-Pierre Robidoux of Moncton, Acadie.
59.
60. Lieutenant Cedric was an honours graduate in history and English literature at Royal Military College in Cornwall, Frontenac. An excellent student and collegiate athlete, he was well-known for his excellence on the fencing piste and wrestling mat.

65.
66.
67. Cedric was a force of nature on and off the piste, and it was in his service fields where he shone his best. He was always ready to help, lead and teach his fellow cadets, teammates and soldiers to strive for the best and make sure that the camaraderie remains until the very end. Following his graduation, Cedric was placed in Royal Quebecois Army Base in his native Cornwall, where he quickly earned the praise for his leadership and caring towards his fellow soldiers. He was awaiting his promotion when passed away; will be graduated with full military honours and posthumous promotion to lieutenant.

72. Since an early age, Harrison showed determination and grit when he won the Canadian National and Quebec Junior (under 15 yrs) Fencing Championships (epee) in 2008-09. From then on, he competed and won numerous gold, silver and bronze medals across Canada, the United States and in Europe.
73.
74. As a first year cadet in 2013, Kelertas was part of the RMC men's fencing team that won gold at the Challenge Epee Commandant at Ecole Royale Militaire in Brussels. In 2014, he was presented with the Hutton Trophy as second-year athlete of the year at the college. He also had two top 16 finishes at the Canadian National Fencing Championships that same year. In February 2015, he won bronze medals in both the individual and team epee at the Ontario University Fencing Championships. In March of that same year, Harrison was presented with the Tommy Smart Cup as RMC's Male Athlete of the Year, was named an Ontario University Athletics All-Star, and as well, was ranked 26th nationally in senior men's epee. This last March, Harrison was named the men's fencing team's most valuable player at the RMC Paladins awards ceremony.

76.
77.
78.
79. At home, we all knew him as the witty, gregarious and "full of life" young man who loved his family, friends (especially, his second family at RMC), and who was always ready to lend a helping hand, an insightful ear and well-timed joke for the benefit of all who were fortunate enough to have known him. Our collective hearts are breaking at the loss of a truly wonderful son, brother, soldier, leader and beautiful human being.
