You are onboard the ‘Redoubt’, a Nanotrasen run stronghold on the edge of known space. It was constructed here after the First Crossing 27 years ago.
The ‘Redoubt’ is an A.D.S MK. II (Artificial Defence Station Mark 2).
The A.D.S. MK. II is of an older design, but the ‘Redoubt’ has been retrofitted to suit modern standards.

Defence Recommendations:
The Nanotrasen Defence Department recommends the Commanding Officer to take the following actions in case of hostile attack:

Void Beings: Photon Dispersal Ray Mk 2
Orbital Bombardment: Enable Energy Barrier
Ground-based assaults: Distribute weapons, man forward bunkes.
Biological Warfare:
Instruct onboard scientists to study biological agent, attempt to find and exploit weaknesses
Keep ANY solid biomass away from the base.

Nanotrasen Briefing on ‘the Infection’
The biological agent dubbed ‘the Infection’ by front line troops, has already overrun two rim-space stations. We know very little about the organism, all attempts to study it has been thwarted by its highly aggressive behaviour.
In case of contact with ‘the Infection’ contact Central Command IMMEDIATELY and begin following the procedure outlined in your stations response plan.
