  1. Nightkin were people who'd been dipped into the FEV vats, however, instead of becoming the 'generic' Super Mutant they retained their intelligence, they possess the highest levels of strength and resilliency in comparison to their brothers. They are roughly 3.2 meters tall and weigh roughly 320 kilograms in total.
  2.
  3. As a result, they were The Master's prized mutants per se. They were given access to better weaponry, but most importantly Stealth Boys. Their access to Stealth Boys wasn't limited and as a result the Stealth Boys were overused, causing the pigment of their skin to turn blue alongside the massive mental illness; Schizophrenia. As a result, they are generally paranoid about being seen; often upset or angered when they know they're being looked at. They develop an entity within their consciousness, evidently not real, yet the entity will influence their behaviour.
  4.
  5. Lily for example, developed Leo; a malevolent and sadistic counterpart who often encouraged her to behave in excessively violent ways. Davison for example, developed Antler, a Brahmin skull who he believed to be a person. That was his manifestation of the Schizophrenia. Another interesting example is Dog/God. Although other Nightkin may develop entities such as Leo or Antler it can also cause a split personality. Dog and God.
  6.
  7. Tabitha developed Rhonda, who simply turned out to be herself. (If we're going to be anal, it's the Mr. Handy in the room where she's hidden the various missiles and other goodies.) Notably, the only exception I can think of is Keene, who is simply paranoid and highly aggressive.
  8.
  9. Generally speaking, Nightkin are highly intelligent, capable of coherent speech are paranoid. They may or will act on instructions given to them by an entity they create, argue with said entity or debate trivial things with said entity.

  11. Corporal began as Hiram Locke.
  12.
  13. Hiram Locke was born on January 15th, 2134. His father Thomas Locke, born 2105, May 4th; was a maintainance worker. His mother Elise Locke, born 2106, February 17th; was also a maintainance worker. His parents grew up togther in Vault 17, marrying in 2127; December 7th.
  14.
  15. Hiram was intelligent, doing well in school. No Einstein, but he wasn't a bag of rocks either. He wasn't the class clown, nor it's nutcase, getting along with his classmates/dwellers alike. Turning 16, Hiram had met another dweller by the name of Madeline who was his girlfriend. Madeline was born in the same year as Hiram, but in May. To be specific, May 13th. As all dwellers do, Hiram took the G.O.A.T, he was assigned to Security and Madeline as a Doctor. The two grew closer, remaining together for a number of years. As if going full circle, it seemed as if Hiram had met his life partner. As his father met his mother, he too looked forward to marriage and eventually fathering his own children.
  16.
  17.
  18. Day by day, week by week, he did as instructed. Following instructions given by the Overseer, balancing work and Madeline, he seemed happy and contempt with life in the vault; until 2154. Hiram was 20, Madeline was 20. Life was peachy. In the year 2154, Vault 17 was raided by The Master's army. During the day of the raid, Hiram had been tasked with a routine patrol. Simply patrolling the vault as he'd done for four years previously, complacent. During the patrol, the general alarm system in the vault had been set off; causing panic to spiral in the vault. Doing as he'd been taught, he set forth to ensure the safety of the other residents, gathering them together in a service corridor of the vault.
  19.
  20. His mind raced, a mixture of fear and duty had gripped him. He feared for his life, but Madeline's more. Whilst he ferverously gathered other dwellers into the service corridor, a Super Mutant flew into view; terrifying Hiram. He drew his 10mm pistol and fired at the Super Mutant, to no effect. To his pure horror, the beast continued to charge at him, gaining speed. In a brave, yet futile attempt to help, he continued to fire. Inevitably, the dead man's click came around. The slide on his 10mm pistol locked back, empty. Releasing the magazine, he reaches for another, only to be knocked to the ground by the super mutant. Staggered and unable to defend himself, he was bound with rope and dragged out of the vault.
  21.
  22.
  23. Dragged out into the blistering and foreign sunlight, Hiram frantically screamed for Madeline, looking for her as best he could. Dumped onto the ground with other Dwellers, he called out for Madeline, to hear a feeble reply "Hiram-". During the raid, Madeline had been crushed by a mutant in it's blinding rage. Bleeding out, on death's doorstep, she looked over to Hiram. She told him she loved him and she'd always be with him, only for her emerald green eyes to glass over.
  24.
  25. In a state of rage and despair, Hiram was dragged back to Mariposa. Unable to resist, forcefully, he was brought before The Master. Alongside Lily Bowen and the other dwellers, he was hoisted above the bubbling green FEV vat. Thinking of Madeline and his parents, he accepted death. He fell into the bubbling green vat, writhing as he began to change. He passed out, only to awaken as a Super Mutant. He had little to no memory of life in the vault, other than Madeline. He couldn't remember who she was, but still felt love toward her.
  26.
  27. Hiram was discovered to retain his intelligence and his strength increased exponentionally. As a result, he was given access to higher tier weaponry and what would become the crux of his new life. Stealth Boys. As he fought for The Master, his prolonged usage of Stealth Boys warped his already broken persona. Of all the negatives which had befallen him, the one positive remained; that being Madeline. Throughout all the bloodshed and pillaging, she'd remained at the back of his mind. In his rebirth of violence and bloodshed, he was christened 'Corporal', as he gained the rank Corporal, leading other Super Mutants into the fray of war.
  28.
  29. During his service, his downward spiral into madness, he formed "Him/He." It served as a commanding officer. It guided him, told him who to kill and whatnot. He was told what to do, and as a result, a part of his mind formed an officer as it were. "Him/He" is the sadistic, evil, violent and malevolent part of 'Corporal's psyche.
  30.
  31. After the Vault 13 Dweller destroyed the Vats and killed The Master, Corporal broke away. Wandering the wastes, he searched for other mutants to be amongst his own kind. Although "He/Him" had previously dominated him, he hadn't forgotten Madeline, rather his love toward her. These feelings toward her changed his persona after breaking away from The Master's army. It caused him to be more tolerant per se, he won't hesitate when it came to violence, if provoked. He did however, become somewhat more reserved. He reflected on what he'd done and how it'd affected others, choosing to try and right his wrongs. He sought out to do well, to try and make amends for what he'd done. He wanders still, trying to do what he can to help, yet if provoked, "He/Him" comes back and at that point, Corporal snaps. He's back to his behaviour in The Master's army, albiet toward those who've provoked him.
