- Nation name: Holy Principality of Solarion
- Race: Assorted believers of all races
- Origin:
- The Holy Principality of Solarion is based around the Solarian church, which existed long before the Empire was founded, having been officially founded by a mysterious figure known only as the Solar Prophet, who is said to have been sent to this plane from the Realm of Bliss where their god Sol Invictus watches over his creations. It is said that the Holy Principality was founded around the site of the Solar Prophet's death where he was brutally executed by long-nose barbarians - a lone hilltop where the Cathedral of the Eternal Sun now stands in which the Solar Patriarch resides and in which the Church bases its operations..
- Reason to submitting to the Emperor: The Solar Patriarch at the time of Emperor Bello's coronation acknowledged his right to lead by virtue of his skill and strength and thus willingly submitted to his rule. The fact that the Emperor allowed the Church to retain some of its sovereignty over its territory and operate freely within the Empire helped with this as well.
- Culture:
- As Solarion is the most devout amongst the provinces to the Solar Church, the culture of Solarion is largely that of the Solarian religion. Solarianism teaches that there is but one god and his name is Sol Invictus, who manifests himself as the sun in the sky, his light too brilliant for mortals to behold. Solarianism teaches that Sol Invictus judges the actions of all mortals and at the end of a mortal's life he evaluates the lives they led and either elevates them to the Realm of Bliss or consigns their soul to the depths of the Realm of Eternal Darkness based on the virtue or sinfulness of their deeds. Solarianism is also based on the teachings of the Solar Prophet, who is said to be of Sol Invictus who was said to have fallen to Earth from the Realm of Bliss via a meteor. As a human the Messiah walked the earth, spreading his message and founding the faith while performing miracles and helping the weak to become strong. However, one day he was captured by people tainted and consumed by shadow, and was executed. Solarianism teaches that all men were born imperfect, filled with sin and shadow, but the Messiah, in his infinite compassion and wisdom, willingly allowed himself to be executed and in doing so formed the Solar Covenant - that in his death the Messiah redeemed the sins of humanity and thus that anyone who believes in Sol Invictus and his son and who follows their teachings faithfully may be saved.
- The citizens of Solarion are all very pious and devoted to the church, and thus worship, holy festivals and rituals play a large role in the daily lives of their lives. However, that doesn't mean that recreation is forbidden. The Solarian people often enjoy religious plays (along with other church-sanctioned plays and dramas), jousting and other various tournaments of skill, and even a drink in the local tavern (though clergymembers are forbidden from drinking anything but holy wine).
- Though the Solarian faith promotes peace, it also has a proud military tradition which started in its early years as it had a constant need of strong and able fighters to defend the faith from murderous barbarians and outsiders along with the various crusades and holy wars fought in the name of the faith. This culminated in the founding of the Solar Knights, a collection of the most able and honorable warriors who serve as the sword and shield of the Solarian church.
- The Solarian church also has a proud magical tradition, though the use of magic is limited to clergymembers and members of the Holy Knights. The Solar Prophet was a highly skilled magic user, and much of the magic that the Church practices is based on the miracles that he performed. The Solarian magical tradition especially promotes healing magic, fire magic and magic that banishes evil, while it punishes the use of dark magics such as necromancy and blood magic as acts of heresy and witchcraft.

- LORD
- Lord's Name:
- Solar Patriarch Rigelius II
- Fluff:
- After a string of largely incompetent patriarchs that threatened to plunge the realm of Solarion and the faith as a whole into decay and stagnation, the coronation of Solar Patriarch Rigelius II was seen as a breath of fresh air to clergy and citizens alike. As the son of a high-ranking clergymember of the Solar Church, Rigelius II was groomed from an early age into being a capable and effective clergyman to lead the masses to prosperity and usher in a new dawn for the church and for Solarion. Skilled in holy magics as well as in oratory skills and other qualities of a skilled leader of men, his abilities proved crucial in reigniting the fire in the eyes of the Solarian faithful. As opposed to the aforementioned ineffectual patriarchs, he is a hard-liner of sorts, viewing the Empire in recent years as on the brink of falling into the cesspool of sin, and with the Emperor's failing health, he senses dark times ahead for the Church and the Empire as a whole and he has vowed to be prepared to stand resolute amidst the sea of darkness and carry the Church into a new golden age.
