Is it google dance?
One keyword on my site was ranking for 2 months at 1st. some days back, due to my hosting problem my site was down for 2 days, rank dropped to 4-5th and then yesterday back to 2nd position. Today, back to 7-8th position.

I don't think its penalty because many other keywords are ranking on their position as they were before. But affecting only one page or keyword is making my mind curious. what it could be?

Its not a penalty, may be your competitors may boost their keywords, so concentrate on your page and build some quality links. This will helps you to retain your positions as before.
Don't worry, it might be a google dance. It happens, just have patience and wait for a week or so.
