  96.
  97. Spinner Afollia, the Grand Diviner says to Elexia, "When you see him next, you should ask him about the day he was slain by love. The shadows hold a few secrets regarding Feyr that you might enjoy."

  196.
  197. LOOK NALUREI
  198. Strands of seaweed align to form the sleek, arcing lines of a leaping dolphin, balancing almost perfectly upon a leafy tail. Nalurei's back is composed of dark green weeds, while paler, yellower strands form the belly, in homage to the colouration of a normal dolphin. Despite the leafiness and static pose, the kelpie has captured something of the speed and joy of the dolphin's movements within her form. Her pale blue eyes sparkle, set behind the perpetually smiling mouth. Nestled within the strands of kelp, a small shell figurine is cradled protectively.

  260.
  261. Lief flashes Ghibli a joyous smile.
  262.
  263. To Tridemon and Nalurei, Rancoura whispers, "We shall momentarily begin a contest of storytelling. I am merely introducing the concept at the moment."
  264.
  265. Clasping her hands together and bowing, Oracular Elexia Myeras-Silvermoon says, "I am afraid I must depart for the time being. I wish that I could stay longer to see more of your festivities, but my time is too short to allow such. I pray that you all have a lovely time."
  266.

  298.
  299. Reyqae snickers softly to herself.
  300.

  333. Rancoura shakes her head as a small tinge of amusement momentarily interrupts her stoicness.
  334.
  335. Kyalrhin taps her foot with mild impatience.
  336.
  337. Rudely interrupting, Norra says, "Enough with the presents that are always better than mine! Let's have some storytelling!"

  578. You beam broadly at Reyqae.
  579.
  580. You beam broadly at the Liar.

  585.

  587.
  588. Norra says, "Shock filled the little rabbit as the bird began to eat the corpses. Please leave them alone, it begged! They are my family, and I have nothing else!"
  589.
  590. Reyqae shudders violently.
  591.
  592. Looking slightly worried at the situation, Reyqae quickly hides behind Tridemon.
  593.
  594. You have emoted: Gurashi chitters softly, hands over his mouth, keeping an ever vigilant eye on those having less-than-pleasant reactions to the tale.
  595.
  596. Norra says, "The bird turned to the rabbit. Then you have nothing, it said, for they are no more. Now I devour them, for the wolf that slayed them is a cruel creature that killeth for sport, even when it wanteth not for a meal."
  597.
  598. Rancoura nods slightly to Eliron, a faint smile momentarily touching her lips before she returns her focus to Norra.

  614.
  615. Norra says, "It spoke not a word, but the great bird understood it. I turned again to the rabbit, and spoke."
  616.

  626.
  627. You have emoted: Gurashi bunches his shoulders, crossing his arms over his chest as he continues to listen, eyeballing those present still, looking very pleased.
  628.

  640.
  641. Norra says, "The rabbit should not have been a killer. But having lost all it once held dear, it had lost itself. It was nothing, and could become anything. And so, it killed."
  642.
  643. Norra says, "It killed those smaller than itself without a thought to them, until it knew enough of killing to hunt others as big as itself."
  644.
  645. Reyqae slowly shakes her head, growing visibly agitated.
  646.
  647. Reyqae stares implacably at Norra.
  648.

  670.

  712.
  713. Norra says, "Who knows how long it took, for that great dark bird to fly down again upon the two bodies that lay upon the grass? It recognized the wolf and rabbit, and knew what had transpired."
  714.
  715. Nalurei watches the exchange between you and Reyqae with only a slight frown, which smooths back into as close to an expression of polite listening as a kelpie dolphin shape can achieve.

  1263.
1264. Esei inhales again, voice taking on a warbling tone. "Do not kill me, young woman!" They emulate a soft caw, sharp teeth flashing. "I could give you all of your wishes, and more." 1359.
1360. The Liar stands and makes their way to the point where the others had told the story, though they stand a little closer to Rancoura as they turn to smile at those gathered. "I think...I am ready, yes. Okay..." They exhale, and when they open their eyes again, the mismatched colours glow with a delightful, inviting radiance.
  1361.
1362. Rancoura nods her head at the Liar.
  1363.
1364. Nalurei blinks, and waves a strand of kelp back at you.
  1365.
1366. Speaking with a calming tone that entrances you and fills your heart with a gentle warmth, the Liar says, "Once a time, there was a wakabi who walked into the desert, and she was a very small wakabi with bright yellow fur and pretty blue eyes. And when she walked, she always looked funny and was made fun of by other wakabis, because she looked like she was wrong."
  1367.

  1373.
1374. Gesturing with a paw and continuing on, the Liar says, "So she wandered the desert, and she was very sad, because she never knew that she was not from the desert. Her egg had been stolen away when she was not yet hatched, and found, and given to wakabis to raise. And so they sat in the desert looking very sad in their fancy hat and fancy clothes, and wished they could run like the others could."
  1375.
1376. You have emoted: Gurashi watches the Liar, expression going from delight to amazement, shoulders sagging a bit as he listens.
  1377.
1378. Lief studies Esei quietly, only to shake her antlered head, spraying water about herself. She wings nearer to you. A bit further back, really; her rapidly-beating wings spray rain as they keep her aloft. From there is where she listens to the Liar intently.
  1379.
1380. Reyqae tilts her head and listens intently to the Liar.
  1381.
1382. Waving their arms to mimic flight, the Liar says, "And soon a big hawk flew down and landed on a nearby cactus, and when he saw her sitting there, he asked, 'What is the matter, little one?'"
  1383.
1384. Effecting a small and scared voice that causes your heart to flutter, the Liar says, "And the small wakabi said, 'I cannot run like my brothers and sisters, mister hawk.' And she began to cry, because she was very sad."

  1389.
1390. Wandering around Rancoura as though she were the wakabi, the Liar says, "The hawk felt bad that she was so sad, and he flew down to perch next to her on the sand, and he looked her over carefully with his big hawk eyes. And he looked carefully at her feet. And he looked carefully at her wings. And he looked carefully at her feathers."
  1391.
1392. Nepenthe's whiskers droop slightly as a soft, disconcerted growl rumbles in his chest.
  1393.
1394. Lief touches her hand to her heart as she listens to the Liar sorrowfully.
  1395.
1396. Withdrawing and effecting the timid voice once more, the Liar says, "'Oh, I will never run like my brothers and sisters,' the wakabi cried out, and so the hawk carefully took her in his mouth and began to fly, and she was afraid for her life, because wakabis cannot fly! 'Oh, where are we going? Please, put me on the ground! I am so very scared!'"
  1397.

  1403.
1404. Speaking with an awe and wonder in their voice that sends your mind racing to the most beautiful landscape in your memories, the Liar says, "But the hawk flew on, and the wakabi began to see colours that she had never seen before. Greens and blues and purples on plants that did not grow in the desert, and she slowly became less afraid. Soon, though the hawk began to crash towards the ground, and she screamed loudly."
  1405.
1406. Reyqae's eyes sparkle with amusement at the Liar.
  1407.
1408. Ilistala, an enormous leopard's ears perk up as her attention turns towards the Liar.
  1409.
1410. You boggle at the Liar.

  1438.
1439. Their voice a deep, soothing one that immediately sets you at ease, the Liar says, "'You do not belong in the desert, little one,' the hawk said, pecking at one of his big wings to smooth out the feathers. And then he looked down and said, 'I do not know how a duck like you got out there in the first place. But ducks do not run. They swim.'"
  1440.
1441. Reyqae tells you, "It's a story about flying! Don't worry!"

  1446.
1447. Leaning back to their full height with a happy smile, the Liar says, "And the duck, for that is what she truly was, boggled and realised that her strange run was perfect for keeping her in place in the water! And her wings that did not flap to help her run fast were good to help her swim, and she was happy."
  1448.
1449. With an effected voice that is clearly mimicing someone they know, the Liar says, "Remember the contrary wakabi who went into the desert and met a hawk. This wakabi met an enlightened master. Considering her situation, the wakabi was revealed to be a duck and was enlightened."

  1753.
  1754. LOOK KHASUR
1755. Elegant in her pale solemnity, Khasur Stormcrow is a tall, dark-eyed trill whose feathers have been dyed a brown-black hue and anointed with strange, silvery runes that twist with sharp, thorn-like ends into each other. Her skin is a pallid, unwholesome hue: her skin is rather more like white marble than anything living. Her robes are of brocade dyed over from some paler hue to an ebon, and much repaired - despite this, a high-necked scholar's coat is fastened with tarnished silver frogs, even as her skirts are a strange mix of airy silks and stained linens, all in varying shades of ebon. A single black rose is pinned in her lapel pocket, and a string of blackened jade prayer beads carved with scorpions swings from a broad belt of cured eelskin.

  2201. LOOK MYSRAI
2202. With much of Their figure fading in and out of shifting realities draped around Them, there is little that can distinguish the gender of this small figure. It is only certain that They are a radiant immortal. Where Their body is visible, small tufts of short-cropped fur can be seen in intermittent patches, the flesh beneath visible pulsing with colourful hieroglyphics of a dead language. Set deep into an elongated, canid head are twin vortexes of inky black Void, stars and constellations spinning and swirling through the depths in nonsensical, hypnotic patterns. Atop Their head sit two peculiar ears, line cones that have been flipped upside down, swivelling constantly to capture more of the world around Them. In the area just beyond Them, enormous limbs of black sand and forked red lightning twitch in restless anticipation to cause untold destruction through the strange and alien realities barely glimpsed through the chaotic sandstorm.
2203. Long black fur, shot through with strands of deep crimson, extends in a mohawk that stretches down Their spine to the small of Their back.
  2204. They are wearing:
  2205. a reforged crown of gleaming voidcopper that floats ominously above Their head;
  2206. a spiralling ring resplendent with gemstones that is pierced through Their right ear;
  2207. a thick golden collar beset with dark gems that hangs heavy across Their shoulders and throat;
2208. tattered robes of ebon silk that look ready to fall apart at any moment.
2209. Nepenthe grows very still and draws into himself, somehow appearing even more diminutive as he shies away from the presence of Mysrai.
  2210.
2211. "Oooooooooh!" Reyqae says to Mysrai, eyes wide with wonder.
  2212.
2213. Lief's humming dragonfly wings likewise carry the faeling back, though she gazes upon the spot where the sand begins to form, watching until Mysrai appears.

  2264.
  2265. Tridemon blinks.
  2266.
2267. Reyqae points accusingly at you.
  2268.
2269. Archon Reyqae Indara, Defender of Life says, "Gurashi makes them."
  2270.
2271. Spirit Warden Xenthos An'Ryshe, the Ebon Strategist says, "We are not judging Gurashi."
  2272.
2273. Archon Reyqae Indara, Defender of Life says, "You can judge things better if you have cookies!"
  2274.
2275. You have emoted: Gurashi nods quickly, hopping up and down in his spot. "Uhm, yes. Lady of Roses requested a Song Contest about the Glory of the Wyrd, and invited a bunch of Her Cousins to come, and so said You could come and be a judge for that with Her, and maybe one other Persons who is... not, really, responded, one-hundred-percent."

  2294.
2295. The Liar beams as they stand up a little straighter, dwarfing Mysrai as they beam down at Them with nothing but joy and love filling their face.
  2296.
2297. Tsakali, Pilgrim of Bodhi whispers to you, "More for the Liar."
  2298.
2299. Khasur Stormcrow heaves an audible sigh and rubs her eyes, strained participation stretched across her features. She settles lower on the vine she claimed as her seat and stares on, yawning.

  2324.
2325. Mysrai turns and sweeps Their infinite gaze across each mortal gathered in turn, pausing momentarily at Khasur Stormcrow and Nalurei in turn before continuing and finally coming to a full rotation. They offer no voice, but lower the Jackal's sceptre and lean back onto the Liar's enormous form, resting upon and nearly within their torso.
  2326.
2327. (The Shadow Kindred): You say, "Ommggggggg so cute."
2328. (The Shadow Kindred): You say, "Liar and shofet are just so cry."

  2337.
2338. You feel that Esei deserves some congratulation, and so you clap wildly.
