- *Our cities are much more secure than a Stian slave village. One or two Azure Lion Cuckoo dragons arn't going to break through it, so want to tell me what you couldn't tell that volunteer ranger?
- *A fleet of seven Stian merchant ships headed to Vil'lar, found adrift in the current just south of our waterways, two survivors. Ship's log final entry reported finding a small boat, Stian build, assumed caught in the current and pulled from shore; one passenger, a woman covered in a sail to protect her from the sun. The two survivors say the captain realized she was a Cuckoo dragon, locked her in a cell claiming it was a guest board intending to sell her in Vil'lar. They were the guards, she sang making them mistake her for a trapped girl, she cut them with her claws so they were paralyzed; they were the lucky ones. Poor bastards, according to them, the dragon used a hypnotic song that made everyone who wasn't paralyzed like them jump over board and try to swim to the bottom of the sea after imaginary lusty mermaids. The two men were somewhat incoherent, screaming things about the song being stuck in the wood of the ships, demanding the ships be burned to their supperiors back in Stia, claiming the dragon cursed them.
- *What?
- *This dragon that burned down a village, got across the sea by massacering innocent merchants, its not that its powerful or could take out a village with brute force that's the problem. Its older, experienced, it got over our cities, past our defenses to get to the reserve in the first place. Look at the security footage again, its not trying to find a way in with Azulia; its training its daughter how to get around our defenses. We need these dragons away from our cities as soon as possible, and the fastest way to do that is to give them what they want before they find out how to get into the cities, or do so using their powers. In the end of the day despite their cunning and abilities they are still animals, if they don't figure out an exploitable passage before they get what they are after, they likely won't try to and forget about it; and we can go after them on our terms away from civilians. I am certain a few Azure Lion Cuckoo dragons would liven up the zoo; otherwise the general tells me they can make arrangements to move the animals to a more isolated mountain valley further east away from sizable cities where they wouldn't pose such a risk to protected cities.
