✘ | PERSONALITY: Possibly one of the coolest people on the Earth, in terms of personality and how she reacts to everything - if what is being said to her is not something meant to start a conversation, she will respond with either a nod, a quiet "mm" or no sign of acknowledgement at all. The mix of her tallness, seemingly uncaring demeanor and the constant carrying of her bass anywhere she goes gives her the aura of a quiet, cool, musician type - and that is exactly what she is.

This is not to say that she doesn't care or listen to what other people tell her, even if she has earphones on at the moment - she actually takes note of what everyone has to say to her directly, but not that much when people talk about her behind her back. She doesn't really care about judgement, which is just a skill she's acquired from years of living under the same roof as a nonchalant father and closed-in brother in the busy city of Seoul.

Another skill she's acquired from her past is the ability of taking care of herself in almost every situation, which she sometimes uses to help her members, be it through making quick comebacks at their new rivals - because yes, comebacks count as part of protecting or caring for oneself - or just taking care of some of their needs, like buying them food and drinks or running small errands.

She also barely ever smiles, unless it's in a self-assured, smirk-ish way. This is mostly due to the fact that she finds it tiring. Upon being asked why she doesn't smile more often, a very probably reply would be that she'd "rather spend time listening to music or practicing than moving lip muscles."

It's kind of a given that she doesn't talk a lot, even in dramatic situations where voices are usually raised. She rarely starts conversations, and when talked to, will often reply in one sentence. Her responses vary a little bit when she is asked about rock music or her instrument of choice, the bass, as they are things that she genuinely cares a lot about.

Her history has, in some way, helped shape her into the laid-back person that she is now.

...Also, her surroundings have made her pretty knowledgeable in terms of sexual innuendos or terms. She's quite neutral to the topic, having ignored a random catcall or two in her life (though she was with her friends at those times, so it's unknown if anything was ever directed at her; in any case, she's heard them).

✘ | BACKGROUND: Seoyeon was born and raised in an apartment in the center of Seoul with her parents. They used to consist of a working father and mother, but the mother died during the birth of Seoyeon's younger brother by 2 years, Jinyoung. This resulted in her usually being favored by her father - and her brother often being forgotten or neglected by him as a result of the his bitterness - but that really wasn't saying much. After Seoyeon and Jinyoung's mother died, their father had to start working longer hours and staying out late, so both his children pretty much went without a parental figure for most of their lives.

They never truly felt pained about the absence of their mother - Seoyeon never got mad at Jinyoung for the stupid reason of simply being born during their mother's death, and Jinyoung never missed her - because neither of them even remembered them at their young ages.

In any case, in their father's absence, Seoyeon - as the responsible older sibling - had to learn to take care of herself and her younger brother as they grew and eventually went to school. She never truly became a mother figure, cooking or tucking him to sleep or anything - most of her actions amounted to the bare minimum, like buying a box of cup ramen to feed themselves or getting her him a present for his birthday - but it was enough.

She learned that in the busy, bustling city of Seoul, it was good not to care about details or what other people thought most of the time. With such a dense population, naturally many judgemental people appeared throughout her growth - she learned to just ignore and do her own thing. The absence and nonchalance of her father seemed to appoint her as  the member of the family, as her younger brother would sometimes come home crying because some kid called him some slur on his way home.

Eventually she picked up an interest in the vast genre of rock n' roll, which also prompted her intrigue in learning an instrument and maybe even starting a band (the latter of which never happened, but joining a band was just as good). One luxury she attained from being her father's favorite was the fact that she got an allowance from him every week, and at the beginning of middle school, she started using those funds to pay for bass lessons at a music school somewhere near her house (due to her unfortunate disability to sing in a high pitch because of her lower voice type, she didn't choose the guitar that vocalists usually used). She kept it up, eventually became pretty versatile with the instrument and met her current members in high school.

✘ | WHY THEY STARTED DOING MUSIC: As explained in her backstory; she simply attained an interest in rock in her last years of elementary school from exploring the internet and seeing posters around Seoul advertising alternative bands' upcoming concerts. She wanted to learn an instrument typically used in those types of groups, and would've probably gone with the electric guitar if not for her deeper, mezzo-soprano voice type. She opted for the bass instead, and after getting the hang of it from years of bass lessons after school, developed an affinity for it.

✘ | BIGGEST DREAM: To live someplace away from Tokyo with an easygoing job; for her brother to mature and learn to care for himself.

✘ | BIGGEST FEAR: Heights and falling - she's lived in an apartment near ground level for all her life, and has never travelled overseas, been in a plane or climbed to the top of a landmark ever. It's a bit embarrassing for her to admit that the only nightmare she's ever woken up in a puddle sweat after experiencing is the one where she's falling.

✘ | YOUR CHARACTER'S FIRST IMPRESSION OF THEM: She straight-up found him good-looking from the first time they met. Despite the obvious tension between her team and his, she respected him for being able to take care of himself and his team well - needless to say, he intrigued her. Just a little.

✘ | THEIR FIRST IMPRESSION OF YOUR CHARACTER: He didn't notice her much at first with the strong presences of the more open members, but after seeing her for the first time, all he could think about was how aloof she seemed. It was a bit odd how all he'd ever heard about her was that she was the quiet, cool type - he wasn't even sure what instrument she played until he asked someone who knew about it.

✘ | HOW YOUR CHARACTER ACTS AROUND THEM: At first, she treats him about the same as she would anyone else. She doesn't go out of her way to please, anger or evoke any reaction out of him, and speaks to him with a very laid-back tone. That's not to say that after getting to know him she changes much - she still speaks pretty calmly, but smiles more around him and makes small, casual displays of affection, such as patting his back, holding his hand or offering to play him a tune she's written and hasn't shown anyone else (and probably never will). Deeper into their relationship it probably wouldn't amount to just this, but this is how she'd act when they're only just beginning to display romantic interest towards each other.

✘ | HOW THEY ACT AROUND YOUR CHARACTER: In the beginning, he's a bit wary of Seoyeon, as she's a bit of a mystery to him. She's pretty, but the amount of his knowledge about her is just as "the bass player" or "the cool one." In a way, they've always sort of respected one another, so their relationship doesn't really have a rocky start. Her personality and backstory are interesting, though, and whenever he finds out more of where she's coming from he becomes more and more intrigued in her character. He begins showing romantic interest towards her after a while of building their friendship; he treats her like a gentleman, takes interest in the things she likes, such as the rock genre, listens to her short songs and occasionally shows displays of affection, like she towards him. His perverted side does not show at all until their relationship deepens.

✘ | THEIR RELATIONSHIP:
In the beginning, the only thing connecting them is their mutual intrigue in one another. Seoyeon admires Namjoon's leadership and maturity (and a little bit his good looks). Namjoon's interest is piqued by Seoyeon's cool personality and reputation, or lack thereof (and a little bit her good looks, too). Eventually they begin speaking to each other and turn from awkward acquaintances to slightly-less-awkward friends.

During their friendship, they slowly grow closer together, despite the obvious tension between the groups they're part of (then again, Seoyeon is never the one starting fights with his band, and could honestly not care less about what the others think of her and Namjoon being close friends). Seoyeon shows and tells him about things she's only ever told some of her bandmates - about her past, about her love for the bass and rock n' roll, about her interests besides music. She learns about Namjoon, too, and as their curiosity about the other person slowly satisfies, their romantic interest towards one another grows. During this time, the amount of their physical affection for each other is hand-holding and showing the other music they haven't shown anyone else.

The final stage of their relationship would be dating. They'd finally get over their case of "skinny love" and officially just get together - it was kind of predictable and obvious to both bands that it'd happen. At this point they'd be very comfortable with one another, hugging and laughing and doing couple things rather casually. Public displays of affection, such as kissing or any other forms of touching besides hugging and hand-holding - those were things that Seoyeon and Namjoon rarely did, as their relationship was pretty personal and they enjoyed keeping it to themselves in private.


✘ | COUPLE TRIVIA:
• they're sometimes called "the giants" because of their tallness in comparison to the others. (if seoyeon isn't one of the tallest of the female group just then ignore this sjdjdj ;w;)
• namjoon and seoyeon have started having an interest in rock and pop respectively because of how much they talk about music, and how they often show each other songs and melodies that they like.
• they never really fought about any of the band drama that was actually the only reason they met in the first place. when competing against each other in any way, they give their all - partially for their team to win, and partially to impress the person they're going against. (afterwards they quickly go back to talking or hanging out because for some reason they can't seem to have bad blood with each other.)

✘ | SCENE REQUEST:
• (this solely depends on if there's ever, like, a battle of the bands where they're trying to one up each other by playing music) seoyeon and namjoon are smirking or acting confidently towards one another as they try to impress each other. one of the girl members looks to seoyeon like "why the heck are you smiling to yourself like that jesus"
• something caused namjoon to show his rare "bad side" in front of seoyeon. seoyeon is some shock, but mostly she's just really impressed. (if any of her friends are there, they're surprised that her reaction is admiration instead of fear.)
• after seoyeon is done telling him some part of her history or about her fellow members, namjoon tells her about some of the funny things that happened with the members of his group. seoyeon is thoroughly amused by it all, causing her to grin and chuckle a bit. it's the first time namjoon is seeing her smile so earnestly, and to him, it's kind of adorable.
