Most would look at the tragedies that befell this world and wonder how it stayed intact. Cities destroyed, nations sundered, warlords ruling, and outsiders plotting invasion. Millions upon millions dead. Infrastructure not just broken, but practically rotting.

For me, it was Tuesday.

Oh, I may not be able to draw on the entirety of the powers I have at my disposal, but even if I were limited to what I were given here - which I fortunately am not despite lacking shortcuts - it would be enough.

Rather than pretending to be the second coming of Tony Stark, it was much easier to put that knowledge to use in other ways. The business gave me resources to draw on to get the ball rolling that much more quickly. It was the work of hours to establish a bolt hole, of days to ensure there were several rather than a single one, and by the time I had been present for a month several particularly objectionable individuals had been struck down and particularly troublesome instances of technology had been subverted.

The Sentinels that existed abruptly had a change of heart one day and took flight toward Genosha, accompanied by Master Mold itself. Oh, they were unsuccessful, but they were merely the diversion that allowed for more individuals there to be struck down as well and En Sabah Nur's resources repurposed toward more appropriate goals while any direct threat he could pose was rendered moot.

Ultron? The mad AI was merely software, and technology has ever been my playground. He was shackled, sequestered, and deleted, with Janet Van Dyne never knowing who had freed her. But breadcrumbs were left for her, and she came across a newly freed Wonder Man who reported that AIM had somehow broken down into civil war after MODOK met an untimely end at the hands of an invisible opponent.

Loki was quite unhappy when he sent the Destroyer armor out, only to find it swarmed with metallic spiders; contact was lost shortly after, and when he sent Asgard's forces the trail went cold. And Asgard elected to stay away after an invasion from Muspelheim was observed to have begun, only for every last invader to disappear - save for Surtr himself who withdrew, and as he was never one to for diplomacy, his reasons remained his own.

From there, the dominoes continued to fall. Captain America found himself thawed and hale again, and found like-minded individuals to help make the world a better place. It took more than a mere handful of exceptional individuals, however - but around the world, more people began rising up. Hydra and AIM were common targets for them though not the only ones, and around the people began taking their world back.

The Skrulls found themselves abruptly in disarray when the Supreme Intelligence began acting unusually, issuing conflicting orders, then ordering entire planets withdrawn from. Earth was one of them, though they were too busy to question it thanks to their strongest being sent against the World Destroyer as he approached Earth.

His Heralds arrived, only to disappear one by one. And when Galactus himself showed up at last, I finally stepped out of the shadows to confront him directly - wearing a gauntlet studded by the Infinity Gems.

His heralds were returned to him, with perhaps a touch less of the Power Cosmic that they had possessed before, and they continued on their way. Much as Hela found herself undone, and Loki found a very unhappy brother and father resurrected and waiting to show him their displeasure.

A highly unambiguous message had been sent to the greater universe: Earth was not for any outside force to trifle with. But with the planet being the rock upon which the Skrull empire broke, before the World Devourer was forced away from it, the reputation was as well deserved as it was suddenly obtained.
