My journey through Homestuck and why it was important to me.

Why do I care about Homestuck?
* It was heavily involved with my formative teenage years.  2010-2016 (15-21)

[Timeline]
I was first introduced when I was on the Super Mario Brothers Z fan forum and came across a thread talking about Descend.  It made no sense to me at all and I brushed it off.  I had a friend named Khan (different khan) whose name was actually Tim (different Tim) who I recently became friends with at the time.  This guy kept nagging me about MSPA and convinced me to read it by playing up the point and click adventure aspects of the story.  And I was hooked before act 2 ended.

After a while the forum closed and I ended up spending most of my time online in two places.  DatStream which was a community streaming website similar to Vinescaue hosted by GeePM (who was in a previous podcast episode).  And the Homestuck General threads on the comics and cartoons 4chan board.  Absolutely no one but me gave a shit about Homestuck on DatStream so that was a no-go to talk about it which left me with /hsg/ as my only output for Homestuck.  /hsg/ was up 24/7 so I ALWAYS had a thread up to visit.

The biggest appeal to me was the Faux-Game Mechanics
