What even is Arcadia

Dear Friends,   A couple things need to be cleared up regarding specific players and specific ways on how to deal with said players. As well as this, some explanation on how the watchlist, admin forum and any admin-exclusive information should be handled in terms of censorship and secrecy.   In should come as no surprise now that there are some players who are being, to put it quite frankly, mingey but not to the extent that is ban worthy. The specific players we speak of are; Kim Pine, LiveFastEatAss (though he is banned, he still has relevance to some and influence to others), Bena and Chewy117. While most of what you need know about these players is all on their individual concerning players thread, this here will describe what they've done, what they're doing and how to deal with them appropriately.   In general these players will try and grab any sort of mistake or bad judgement made by us and use it against us. These players have had ranks stripped for various reasons and to varying degrees of severity. It would not be a lie to say that these players have their own personal vendetta against the staff of Arcadia and the server in general. While we feel it is necessary for all staff to be made aware of hostilities against the server, it must be said that these players must not be treated as enemies (bans and demotions notwithstanding). Most of them have paid for their past transgressions in some form or another and until they violate further rules or abuse players/staff they must be allowed the freedoms any other player in their situation would have. It must be said, however, that they must not be given any reason to complain or badmouth the server past their own opinions. Do not give these players the means to defend their positions by treating them differently than other members (the non-banned ones) and by engaging them when baited to do so. Example of a bait not to rise to would be when suspicious or deliberately antagonistic names are made by them in teamspeak or ingame, off-colour comments that borderline the rules without breaking them etc.. They antagonise a lot.   Here's some information on those players just so new and old admins are in the clear.  LiveFastEatAss - An ex-admin of our community who was demoted. He compiled an extensive list of abuse of powers, abusing buy-ins to ruin the game for others, abusing authority when unsupervised, abusing various staff members and finally threatening to DOX a staff member. Though he is banned from everywhere on Arcadia, he still holds a lot of influence with the other above mentioned players. We all know he has a “private” Discord room which, as mentioned in past staff meetings, has a lot of hate talk concerning our players, us admins and the server in general. (The Discord isn't really private as he regularly gives out invites and has a number of regular players of ours in it). This hate has been allowed to fester via this Discord and has not been acted upon by various trusteds/staff who were aware of its existence. In some cases they instead added to it and inflamed things further. It is highly unlikely you will encounter him unless you are invited to his discord.   Bena - Another ex-admin of our server who resigned. Bena recently had his Trusted removed for a variety of reasons. A most notable reason was him allowing Live, banned at the time, onto the TeamSpeak and server under various alts and different IPs and didn’t inform us of it (they essentially did it together to cause a ruckus). The final straw of Bena’s Trusted removal was the discovery of the above mentioned Discord and seeing all the hate talk. This came across to Ailuros and I that we simply cannot “trust” him as a Trusted member of our community if he is doing the above mentioned reasons. Bena isn’t really one to cause the trouble, rather to defend his mates causing the trouble. That being said it is still not acceptable for anyone in a position of power to do this and to enable this behaviour is akin to doing it.   Kim Pine (Hoosen, various other silly temporary names) - An ex-elite respected of the server who shows up from time to time. He is a loud mouth and loves to bait others to attack him while he victimises himself with the results. The worst thing you can do is to engage him in his shenanigans. Unless he is directly violating rules, you will only frustrate yourself by engaging with him on any level other than friendly. He’s not necessarily a bad guy though. Having been asked to do something professionally and politely, he will do so. He does get a bit too excited as well sometimes and often yells or screams into the mic.  Chewy117 - Doesn’t really come on the server unless any of the above mentioned people are. He only really joins in the action, never starts it.  Clayton - With what’s happened with Clayton is unfortunate but here are the facts; leaked huge amounts of admin only information into that Discord and spread a lot of admin/player hate talk to the players here mentioned. Clayton hasn’t come back since his demotion so what happens next is not known.   These above mentioned players like to just join the server or forums to meme and screw around on, which is fine. It’s when it hits extreme is the issue. Advice for dealing with Kim and Bena is to play it cool. Don’t yell or jump straight into action. Give them a friendly reminder or warning such as “Hey, please stop doing that”, or “You’re being a bit loud there Kim, chill out”.
