Hello and welcome back to PNN, I'm Maximilian Wilkins here with my co anch-MY NAME IS JANEY WILLIAMS BROUGHT TO YOU BY PNN CHANNEL 19 (channel 18) CHANNEL 18 NEWS. Uh, anyways, we have a bit of an old news story today from downtown where, last month the popular hotel, the Marriott, has been sold for thirty three million dollars to Chicago-based Singerman Real Estate. However, for those of you that are worried about the end of Des Moines' third tallest building, don't worry, as the new owners have stated that they plan to continue operating it as the Marriott, just with some new upgrades. This is good news, as the Marriott has history to Des Moines, being built in 1981 in the middle of a rough time for Des Moines, as people were beginning to move to the suburbs.
