PERSONALITY: Katana was a very cheerful girl, polite, and respectful. As she was growing up, many things happened and she began to lose those traits. Still optimistic, she began to lose respect for many people, and she became quite cheeky and flirty, not caring much anymore. She accepts people easily, but if she doesn't like you, she basically kicks you out of her life. She can get very emotional and sad, but she tries to hide it behind a smile. Katana became very social, but never tells anyone her name. She is energetic, creative, and original. (you could call her a badass). She isn't a reserved person, and puts herself out there for the world to see. At first sight, she may seem arrogant, but in truth, she's just loyal and confident.
BACKGROUND: She began her life as a simple happy toddler, with a full family. Due to mental health issues, her father unfortunately committed suicide when she was 11. Broken and distressed, her only source of hope was her mother, who had remarried very early, considering the circumstances. Her step-father was american, so they had to move from their little house in Japan to New Orleans. There, she had to turn to her sister and cousin who was living with her. Her mother was oblivious to the reasons her husband was coming home so late. Eventually, Katana found out that he was dating another woman at the same time. She told her mother who immediately divorced and moved to a different house. Katana's mother (Aiko) has turned to alcohol and drugs for the answer to the hurt she was facing. Katana was distanced from her mother since she was under the influence of alcohol. She always took out her crying emotions in art. Katana was 13 by this time. She was still a young teen, growing up in this so-called "ghetto" community. This time around, she lost all respect for her mother, vowing to never turn to drugs or alcohol during a heartbreak. Katana began thinking big. Nothing huge really forced her to do it, she just WANTED to do it. She bought 4 spray-paint cans with the money she saved up and began painting. Anything she saw. Park benches, school lots, big buildings, all of that stuff. Katana though of an artist tag for herself as well. Her name had two meanings, but if you put "blade" after Katana, it could mean sword, hence creating the tag for all of New Orleans to see, the "Katana Atisuto", or "Sword Artist". The police attempted many times to track her down, and her sister and cousin never knew about this thing that she was doing. Because of their mother, her older sister (Akiara), who was 18 (western age), and her cousin (Daichi) (16) wanted to run away, since she was a legal adult. Knowng Korean, Katana, Akiara, and Daichi all went to Seoul South Korea to live there. Katana wanted a fresh start away from crime, but she couldn't stop. With all her problems, (money was a big one) she really needed a special place. It had become a habit of hers to just spray paint her emotions, her feelings, what she wanted to spill out, for the world to see. Eventually, she was caught in downtown Seoul, defacing public property, and she had been sent to jail because of numerous other reports of what she did.
