this setting is so weird

Good morning starshine, the earth says hello!
Well. It does. You regain consciousness in a retro looking room where the wall you're probably facing is covered in a large mural depicting a cartoonish Earth with a speechbubble containing the word "Hello!". It even has a happy face on it. What a nice greeting!
Or well, it would be if not for how the windows are all covered in thick metal plates and the door is... Haha. No. What door? There isn't even a door.

As you stare back at the cartoonish planet that's stuck in a constant state of greeting (it doesn't seem to mind though) you begin pondering where you are. It looks like some kind of 50's style café. But with no electronic lights, only some very old looking candlesticks with dribbled candles. All in all the room is fairly dark. And there's a jukebox playing the Grease soundtrack on ominously low volume. Spooky...
