Personality On Stage | On-stage, Jungmi is focused, confident, fierce, and passionate. Her performances always seem to be pulled off cooly, nonchalantly, as if she doesn't even try. She always puts energy into her performances and she's always surrounded by a clouded of magnetic charisma and confidence. People say she's kind of cocky on-stage because she always smirks or winks and because she performs with a certain level of professionalism. She's basically a beast on-stage.

Personality On Camera | On-camera, Jungmi is quiet and a little distant. She isn't one to talk a lot or be in the spotlight during interviews and she can always be seen in the background - unless they force her to be in the front. She doesn't follow the bullshit her other members get into and she's always the one to prevent things from getting too far or out-of-control. When she does talk, Jungmi is blunt and she always finds a way to make a nice comment sound mean and an insult. She's straight up savage and she has the habit of ignoring people or cutting people off. She's also confident and calls herself a genius.

She usually rejects their extra skinship when she knows the cameras are pointing and can be seen glaring when someone is being annoying. When given a subject she wants to speak about, Jungmi can be overly talkative and opinionated. She's the type to butt in when someone is getting facts wrong. Personality Off Camera | Off-camera Jungmi is very different from On-Camera Jungmi. Her members describe her off-camera self as clingy, starved for affection, and even a little too annoying. She's one of the most caring members, albeit she shows how she cares in the little things - the things you won't notice unless you're really thinking about it. She's the wise counsel to The Uncle Eomma's nagging mother and is the person the members go to when they need some peace and quiet and down time. She's still very quiet, but she accepts their signs of affection. She talks about random things with the members (even though they have no idea what she talks about) and tends to randomly start cleaning around the house or just rolling around the floor. She's also very witty and would randomly shout out quotes or "insult" the members.

Jungmi is still a very guarded person. She doesn't let the others know about her feelings. She is the type to snap at people when she's being disturbed and she locks herself up in her work and writing. She can be a bit insensitive to how other people are feeling and her patience isn't the best. She's also reckless and careless when it comes to her health. Background | Jungmi is the only child of Yoo Jooa and Yoo Shinjung. She was born in Jeju during a vacation and was a month earlier than expected. Her parents had originally lived in Daegu with her maternal grandmother but eventually moved to Jeonju when she was a year old. As a young child, her parents raised her to be academically overreaching and rich. She was always number 1 in terms of academics and they pushed her to go into a medical career.

However, around the age of 13 years old, Jungmi had an epiphany. She didn't want to go into a career she didn't want. Seeing the news about all the horrible things in the world and after her best friend moved away due to bullying - Jungmi decide that she wanted to make a change in the way youths thought. As her school's best writer and an honorary member of their band, Jungmi began writing songs and performing them in her school's talent shows.

When she was fifteen, her "friend" snuck her into an underground club to see a rapper perform. Since then, she's always dreamed of being a rapper and even went as far as sneaking out and performing under the stage name "Euterpe". She kept her activities in the rap business on private until her mother caught her sneaking out one night. She eventually came clean and they forced her to stop going to the underground facilities and sent her to study in New Zealand for a two years.

When she came back when she was 17, she still kept her love for music in her heart and snuck out to Seoul to audition for Source Music after three months of being back. She struck a deal with her parents - she would graduate high school and go to college, but only if she majored in what she wanted to major in. She graduated high school as the salutatorian of her year and applied to Seoul University with a major in Musical Composition and a minor in Creative Writing.

【INTERVIEW】

How did you got into the entertainment?

| "I didn't expect to go into the idol business. I've always underestimated the amount of stress idols go through and always written them off as lazy musicians. Of course, I know better now but it was just what I thought before. But I knew that I was never going to get my words if I stayed underground. The only thing I really wanted was to be heard and to get my thoughts out for people to listen to. So I snuck out to Seoul and I auditioned for the company."

Who's your idol?

| "The people I idolize are the people full of wit and passion. Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G, their lyrics are great and so full of thought. Then there's the authors and the philosophers. I try to incorporate some sort of wisdom in the songs I create and I usually turn to them for inspiration. For some new artists, Tori Kelly is definitely someone I admire. I can't sing as well as she can, but I love her lyrics and I love her music."

What does your stage name mean/why did you use your name as stage name?

| "I've always been a fan of Greek Mythology. For avid fans like me, or even for those who don't really know the stories, the Nine Muses are a pretty famous subject. The muse Euterpe presides over music, song, and lyrical poetry. I thought it was fitting for someone like me; someone who's in love with music and dedicates her life to writing songs and lyrics. My underground rap name was Euterpe the name and I wanted to carry that big part of my past with me."

What are your dreams before you became a trainee?

| "Before I was a trainee, I didn't really have any specific dreams. My parents definitely wanted me to get into a medical career or law. But I was never really satisfied with just that. I've always wanted to inspire people - to change how others see the world - but I didn't want to do it by becoming something like a doctor or a lawyer. Naturally, I turned to the only constant things in my life - music and writing. Before I knew it, I was sneaking out to rap underground and I somehow ended up here."

Your favorite motto?

| To underestimate is to close your mind to something that could be so much more.

Your message to your future self on your third comeback?

| "Dear future self, you've worked hard. Don't worry about those who've doubted what you can do, who signed you as a pretty face. You're more than what they believe. Never stop trying to become a better person and remember that you're not alone. Fighting!"
