Were the DiscordLeaks by Unicorn Riot a setup?

This article back in 2017 shortly following Charlottesville, which was written by Micah Flee (who is collaborating with other journalists like Gregg Housh and Troy Hunt against Epik and Gab), revolves around one of the first and smallest Discord servers leaked by Unicorn Riot.

"The messages were obtained by an anonymous source, who infiltrated and gained the trust of white nationalists and other right wingers and has been leaking the material to Unicorn Riot, a “decentralized media collective” that emerged from leftist protest movements."

Although Unicorn Riot has always claimed infiltration as the source of leaks, there is information which may suggest a more calculated and potentially illegal endeavor by Unicorn Riot if true, by creating a doxing server to setup and then leak to amplify and justify the rise of the organization and the ensuing crackdown.

Another journalist had posted that the user "oxycolton" a/k/a Timmy "Matlock" Noonan from this small Discord was a member of DSSK, and was working with Andrew Auernheimer, per a book on Cult of the Dead Cow (cDc).

DSSK including Noonan has admitted to doing work for the U.S. government against Iran.

Noonan was also in other servers that leaked, including in close proximity to the drama surrounding Christopher Cantwell, Paul Nehlen, TWP, and the Bowl Patrol.
