  1. So lately I've been having issues with my stream and my streaming computer that I didn't go into too much detail about so here's pretty much the low down of it all.
  2.
  3. I stream on an old custom built PC from 2003. It's not very powerful, it's got a Pentium 4 Intel dual core processor which limits me, a lot. So with it being like this, I can barely stream in 480p, which is the main reason why I only stream in 360p. Once Twitch updated their site, forcing those stupid settings, I changed my settings to go along with it. My stream was fine, 30fps, 360p, no issues. Then OBS updated to help new people with the Twitch settings. Then my stream started having issues. Every time I stream, I'd see an error on OBS that says "Frame taking too long to encode, skipping instead" which dropped my fps to like 5. I got really annoyed of seeing this after awhile. OBS' website said my computer should be streaming at 25fps, not 30 so I switched to that. For a month I was streaming in 25fps and no one complained. Though recently, S33y00 pointed out that I could increase OBS' performance if I set it to high priority, so I did. And boom, I could stream in 30fps, no problem, no error. Though when I did that, the program VAC or Virtual Audio Cable started to overflow and distorting my game audio. I use VAC because I have a Dazzle and I can't stream with Amarec, so I have to use VAC to get game audio. So to fix my issue, I set VAC to high priority as well. During an X2 race during my birthday stream, I was racing Warheros and my PC randomly crashed, killing my stream. He both paused our games and when my computer came back on, OBS refused to connect to Twitch. So we both quit the race and I cancelled the rest of my stream. I thought it was a one time thing, but it wasn't. I tried so many things from cleaning the computer, running virus scans, cleaning the registry, etc. But it turned out that the reason my computer was crashing, is because I had both OBS and VAC on high priority, which was a little too much for my computer to handle, so it crashed. I just finished a stream where I didn't have VAC on high, but I did with OBS. There were some audio issues at the beginning, but they stopped around 4 minutes in. So I've basically solved my issue and hopefully it doesn't happen again.
