Coming home late

>Driving home after a long day of work, you had to stay a few hours more due to some co-workers taking the day off.
>You forgot to charge your phone, meaning you were unable to text Yuri about having to stay late tonight.
>You think about all sorts of ways to make it up to her, a trip to the bookstore tomorrow, buying her a new book and reading it with her? Or should you take her out on a nice date, maybe you could do both?
>Your line of thought is cut as you arrive home, pulling into the driveway.
>All of the lights are out, Yuri must have fallen asleep before turning them on for you.
>You unlock the doors and walk in, plugging your phone in as you take your shoes and jacket off.
>Yuri is nowhere to be seen, you decide to go into the bedroom and turn the lights on.
>As the lights turn on, you see her holding a pillow, crying into it, wearing the cute magenta colored pajamas you bought for her a while back.
>You rush to her side, asking her whats wrong, her refusing to let go of the pillow to look at you.
>You feel a deep pain in your heart as she mumbles out "...you jerk." between her sobs.
>She finally moves the pillow to look at you, she's in terrible shape, bags under her eyes, face reddened by the constant stream of tears.
>"I thought something bad happened to you... A-anon... I called and texted you all night long, and I never got a reply..." she says.
>"How could you be so cruel, letting me believe you were injured, or even worse... dead?"
>You begin to realize your mistake, and try to explain yourself, she eventually forgives you, understanding that you weren't going out of your way to hurt her.
>You promise to always keep your phone charged, and to give her hourly updates on everything that happens while you're out.
>You hold her all night long, making sure she feels loved, kissing her on the forehead and apologizing to her every now and then.
>Waking up in the morning to see the texts she left.
>"Anon, how am I going to be able to live without you? You're my light in this dark world, we were supposed to be together forever, you promised me, and I don't think you'd lie to me, please respond soon, Anon, I'm really worried about you."
