- Aura in the RWBY series sort of acts a personal force-field (as eloquently put by Jaune) and helps to protect the user. And while this helps with Ruby’s durability, it also means that the opponents probably wouldn’t be able to physically touch her skin, at least while her aura is up. Consequently, this means that means that Baba Yaga’s hairs and Thrax’s claws probably wouldn’t affect Ruby while her aura is up.
