  1. Return Buluc is a midrange deck centered around Rattling Return and Clattering Skeletons. It uses support cards such as Cursed Consort, Adept of the Shadows, and Death Dealer to generate more Skeletons, buff them, and fetch them from your deck. Some players run Scavenging Crab to get an additional Rattling Return activation.
  2.
  3. The win condition of the deck is to build up your control of the board until you either outright kill them with attrition or deal a ludicrous amount of burst damage with Iron Fist or Prontosaurus. Token-generating cards such as Giddy Gardener and Bullfrog Trainer help with this in conjunction with Iron Fist, in addition to activating Buluc’s passive and Level 3 reward. The rest of the deck is built defensively to combat Aggro, the deck’s greatest weakness. Pumpkewal Spider, Kango-Rex, Falling Star, and Totem of Longevity help in this regard.
  4.
  5. In mulligan, a general rule of thumb is to replace all cards that cost more than three. A good curve is essential, as with most decks, especially against aggro. Do not keep Rattling Return as it needs a lot of build-up from other cards to be useful.
  6.
  7. Speaking of build-up, do not use Rattling Return on curve. Wait until you have 3 or more Clattering Skeletons in your discard pile to get value. This rule, of course, does not apply if you’re severely behind on board. Additionally, it is much better to play off-initiative to evade board clears. Conversely, Adept of the Shadows doesn’t necessarily need Clattering Skeletons in the discard pile as a 6 mana 6/6 with Ambush is a good tempo play. Although if you have an alternative turn 6 play (such as two Pumpkewal Spiders), you should prioritize those to have a chance at getting more value out of your Adepts.
  8.
  9. Trigger Buluc’s passive as often as possible. Buluc’s Level 3 reward is extremely useful and it greatly synergizes with your formidable amount of token units. And don’t be too conservative with your Iron Fist. You can use it if you already have at least 5 units on the board, which isn’t that difficult to do with all of your token-generating, sticky, and high health units. You don’t have to have lethal to use it; the chip damage it provides will guarantee to send the opponent on the defensive.
