The lights illuminated the whole room with a dark blue color. Joan felt a swell of pride within her chest for her accomplishment. The dance's theme this year was inspired by the Little Mermaid, and it went exactly as she had planned.

She was currently standing at the sides of the venue, simply observing the other patty goers dancing around. It might feel lonely for some people, but she felt at peace here. She already felt tired from supervising her team decorate the venue.

"Ah, there's my lovely sea anemone," Tenshi said as he approached Joan.

"Sea anemone?"

She raised one of her eyebrows in a questioning manner.

"Really?"

Her companion shrugged.

"I tried being unique-?" he weakly offered.

"Pfft, haha, but that was so lame even for you!"

Joan tried to stiffle her laugh by covering her mouth with her hand.

"Mhmm," Tenshi hummed in response.

"You're finished laughing now?" It had amusement laced into it. He surprisingly wasn't annoyed.

"Sorry, sorry, it's just, it really was pretty lame, not to mention weird." She continued after finally being able to catch her breath, "What are you doing here, anyway?"

"May you grant me permission to dance with you, Joan?"

He offered his left hand to her, an invitation. She smiled in response and placed her right hand on his left hand as she let him lead the way to the dance floor.

"A gentleman, as always," Joan complimented.

"Your kind words bring happiness to me heart, anemone~?"

He playfully winked at her.

"Oh my God, haha, stop"
