*You can also equip some luck badges or use a Double Dip variation to use two Boo's Sheets turn 2 along with a Power Punch to avoid the superguard T2 in case he attacks

_*PHP BONETAIL STRAT*_

25 HP, 15 FP
BADGES: Unsimplifier, Piercing Blow, Fire Drive (5 BP)*

No turn-by-turn. Basically, once your partner is KO'd, they're treated as if they're in Peril for Star Power calculations. With Unsimplifier, this means that with 124 Audience Points, Mario is guaranteed 1 unit of SP with Fire Drive when he's not in Danger or Peril. You can use this to infinitely loop between Fire Drive and Sweet Treat until Bonetail falls because Sweet Treat can potentially give you +14 Mario HP. If you're low on Audience, you can use the extra Stylish Commands in Piercing Blow's attack to draw in more audience.

*You can add items, extra badges, have different level ups, etc... this is the bare minimum required for this strategy to work assuming perfect play, but hopefully when you do your own Pre-Hooktail Pit you've got your partners alive and items to spare. This strategy is a last-ditch method to get you through the fight if everything starts going wrong, so it doesn't hurt to have Unsimplifier equipped for this fight, especially if you're uncomfortable with superguarding against Bonetail.
