Admin Reference Guide (Unturned)

Hello my Admins, in this paste I am going to explain to you everything you need to know about being an Admin. This is your Reference guide. I have created this guide so all I need to do is send you the link and you can learn everything you need to know. This makes my life much easier and yours too, because now you have a place to come to whenever you need help. So please, NO MORE asking me how to do things that this guide covers :)

   1.0 Commands

Level 0 (Everyone)
  /online - Shows you how many people are online.
  /time - Shows the server time.
  /sethome - Sets your characters current location as a home.
  /home - Teleports your character to the /sethome location.
  /perk Starter

Level 6
  /announce <message> - Displays a message to all users.
  /whitelist add <PlayerID> - Adds a user to the whitelist.
  /whitelist remove <PlayerID> - Removes a user from the whitelist.
  /tp <PlayerID> - Teleports your character to a player.
  /tptome <PlayerID> - Teleports a player to your character.
  /car - Teleports your character to a vehicle.
  /car <CarID> - Spawns the selected vehicle.

Level 7
  /resetitems - Resets all the items on the map.
  /reapairvehicles - Repairs all the vehicles on the map.
  /refuelvehicles - Refuels all the vehicles on the map.
  /sirens on - Turns the sirens on a police vehicle on.
  /sirens off - Turns the sirens on a police vehicle off.
  /resetzombies - Resets all the zombies on the map.
  /killzombies - Kills all the zombies on a map.
  /setitemsdelay <Timeinseconds> - Sets the time in which items will respawn.
  /kick <PlayerID> - Kicks the specified user from the server.
  /maxskills - Gives you 10,000 experience points.

Level 8
  /ban <PlayerID> - Bans the specified user from the server.
  /unban <PlayerID> - Unbans the specified user from the server.
  /enablewhitelist - Turns on whitelisting.
  /disablewhitelist - Turns off whitelisting.
  /kill <PlayerID> - Kills the specified user.
  /heal <PlayerID> - heals the specified user.
  /i <ItemID> [Amount] - Spawns the specified item.
  /god - Turns on God mode.
  /god off - Turns off God mode.
  /freeze <PlayerID> - Freezes the specified user so they cannot move.
  /unfreeze <PlayerID> - Unfreezes the specified user so they can move.
  /unfreezeall - Unfreezes all users on the server.
  /respawnvehicles - Respawns all vehicles on the server.
  /vanish - Makes your character invisible / visible to other users.
  /rep - Prints out your current reputation.
  /getrep <PlayerID> - Prints out the specified users reputation.
  /rep <PlayerID> [Amount] - Gives the specified user reputation.
  /rep <PlayerID> [-Amount] - Removes the specified users reputation.
  /locs <LocationID> - Teleports you to the specified location.
  /locs add <LocationID> - Creates a teleport where the user is standing.
  /locs remove <LocationID> - Removes the specified location teleport.

   2.0 Admin Rules
1.) No abusing of power
2.) No item spawning for players
3.) No god mode killing

   2.1 Admin Rules Explained
1.) Abusing of power can mean a few things, so let me break it down and explain it for you. This means you are NOT allowed to use your teleport commands to teleport to a player and kill them. You are NOT allowed to ban / kick a user because they killed you and you are mad. You are NOT allowed to use your admin title to bully users into doing what you want. You may NOT use your commands in any way to harm a user. If you do, you will be stripped of all commands and ranks.

2.) Players are going to ask you for items, especially if you are nice to them and hang out, or just help them. You are not allowed to give them items, that were not earned. If you feel like giving them items that you personally earned, without god mode or spawning, then that is fine. But you ARE NOT allowed to spawn in items for them because they ask. You may feel like a jerk for saying no, but that is part of the job.

3.) When you are working the server and testing users / checking up on them, you must be in god mode. While you are in god mode, you ARE NOT allowed to kill users. It is unfair, period. I will remove your admin commands and titles for doing so. You ARE NOT allowed to be in god mode, teleport to someone, talk to them, get mad, and then un-god mode to kill them. This will count as a teleport kill, and a god mode kill regardless of whether you shut it off or not!

4.) You are not allowed to teleport to a user and then kill them. It does not matter if you are not in god mode and they can still kill you. You ARE NOT allowed to teleport and kill a user. You must have god mode turned off, and you must find the player legitimately. You ARE NOT allowed to teleport to a player, and then walk away and stalk them, then kill them. You still teleported to them in order to find them, and this will count as a teleport kill. I will remove your admin commands and title for breaking this rule!

5.) You are an admin, I did not give you the commands and titles just to say you have them. Your job is to enforce server rules, AND help users. So when a user has a question and you know the answer, then answer them and help. If a user is having trouble because a car is glitching out, then go help them. Your job is not just teleporting to users, testing them, and then going off and playing with your commands. You must help users. If I find myself online with admins, answering all the questions that users have to ask, and fixing all the problems they are having, I will demote you. You are here to help!

6.) When a user joins the server for the first time, or you do not recognize their name, they must be tested. If you do not know how to test them, refer to the FAQ, 'What is testing a user?'. Even if you have tested a user and they log in and out a lot, test them again. A test can be given at any time, within reason. Do not test users just to make their life hard because you don't like them. If a user gets a lot of complaints about being unfair, test them.

7.) Chances are, when you become an admin you are going to have friends who play Unturned with you. They may not get to become admins. Just because you are an admin and are friends with someone on the server, does not mean you can give them special treatment. All your friends must follow the same rules and standards as everyone else. You cannot spawn items for them in secret either, if I find a friend of yours with a lot of gear, I will take the gear and demote you. They may be your friends, but being an admin comes before your friendship with them on the server.

8.) There are lots of immature users out there on the Internet. They are going to argue with your decisions. Do not engage them, do not argue with them. YOU need to be the professional one. If the user gets out of hand, inform them your choice is final and they need to drop it. If they persist on arguing and causing a scene on the server, they get kicked. If they come back online and continue to cause a scene, they will get banned. We need to maintain a stable and pleasant environment for our community and we cannot do this if our admins are bickering like little children.

9.) When you are teleporting some TO you or TO another player, you must have permission from that user or users. So if bob would like to be teleported to jack, jack needs to ok it, and so does bob. If you would like to teleport bob to YOU, then bob needs to ok it. This does not count for teleporting TO users. So if YOU want to teleport to bob, you may do so without asking.

   3.0 Server Rules

   3.1 Server Rules Explained
1.) This simply means no hacked clients. You are not allowed to alter your client in any way that gives you an advantage over other players or an advantage over the way you play the game. I.e speed hacks, item spawning, kill aura, etc etc etc.

2.) Raiding is allowed, which makes this rules tricky to define and enforce. The only thing that is ALLOWED to be griefed is doors, chests, lockers, and cars. You ARE NOT allowed to break wooden crates, as they can be opened and looted by anyone no matter who places them, therefor breaking them has no purpose other than to be an asshole.

3.) Simple enough, no link, idc if it is to our own website. NO LINKS. Admins level 8 and up are the only ones allowed to post links and they can only be to OUR websites / guides.

4.) No advertising means no posting IPs to other servers, no posting links to monetization forums or ads. No advertising.

5.) This one is a tricky one to add. New players deserve a fair shot on our server, however we all know people go naked for easy kills on other players. So I have created this rule with some stipulations. Firstly Naked players must follow the orders of other players (within reason). If they are told to get down they must, if they are told to most along they must. If the naked player approaches another player, and that user does not like it as well as asks them to stop, they may kill them.
