You know how everything has a shadow? Well it just so happens that Neptune knows about that too, in fact he happens to be a former Shadow himself. This sounds really poetical, but it's really just creepy. Imagine a bunch of shadow accountants standing around your bed discussing your dreams as if they were what happened to be on the coffee table that morning. They also leave crumbs everywhere from their dumb cinnamon buns.
They live in a very "poetical" town that's mostly made up of darkness, sometimes faintly visible from the corners of your eyes.
Their lands appear to be a perfect mirror image of ours, except they're all sort of, you know, shadowy. Most of the time.
But some of these guys tire of being creeps standing around in the darkness and go to a certain re-evaluation office to... become human. Or, at least sort of human.
It's hard to become something you never were in the first place, but you can always give it a try.

As previously mentioned, Neptune is one of those who shed their shadowy hide to walk among humans. He's got a voice as smooth as very smooth syrup and very soft skin and has taken on the shape of a calm and collected accountant who dabbles in poetry in his spare time (a favourite of most converters it appears). His hair is short and soft and black, his hands are covered in scars and if he would remove his baby blue shirt a torso riddled with scars in different artsy shapes would appear. These are a minor side effect of changing species. The pinstripe pants, however, are nothing but a minor side effect of having horrible fashion sense.

If you'd look deep into the blackness of his eyes you'd know he isn't human and he doesn't really want that to happen since he's doing really good at his firm and is probably getting a promotion soon you know.
So he wears sunglasses. Like, all the time.
However there are other strange things about him. Like how he doesn't eat tomatoes, although that's probably more of a quirk. But how he doesn't have a shadow, that's rather weird isn't it?
He also claims to be the older brother of Emerald but he's probably not. More likely is that he used to be one of the creeps that stood around Emeralds bed leaving crumbs everywhere. But we don't discuss those things.
