Response to Response to Application to New Celest

Dear Star Council,

It is me, Gurashi. I have received your request, and apologize for delay in responding. Have taken time over last few months to learn more about New Celest - more specifically, the Light, and what it represents to those who defend it and live by it. It has been really very enlightening, and has given me some insights into what I want to say.

Back in the Glomdoring, there was somebody who really needed my help - a long lost High Priest of the Lord-and-Lady-and-Neither, the Shofets Mysrai - a ghostie who came here from really, really far away. It felt like it was destiny - even though I was just a regular Wyrdenkin, one of the dearly Beloved found me! She was very goodly before in this life, and when she found me she never made me feel scared or did harm - she even moved into my heart for a little while. I wanted to help her, and the friends impacted by her return. She was here for some reason, after all! I went through all proper channels: I asked the Lady of Roses, who told me to ask the Glomdoring, which Xenthos said meant the Shadow Court. I explained with my whole heart why was a thing that I NEEDED to do.

But my plea was denied, because it was not in the interest of the Glomdoring. And they were going to make her go away through some sort of exorcism or something because they had to protect the Wyrd and its secrets. So my ghostie friend left, because she had already come so far and could not risk being lost forever and ever. She went away, and some Wyrdenkin said some very strong words to me, then everything got very -heavy-.

And that was that. Was asked to let it go, because I already made an Oath to be loyal to Glomdoring and the things that it encompasses. And unless they were Wyrdenkin, that didn't include helping my friends in the way that needed to.

There is a lot more to it - a lot of really good and really bad things that came after this event. I would be willing to retell it to anyone who wants to know in persons. But this is the catalyst to what made me choose to join the Beloved, and to keep it a secret.

The Shofets teaches lots of different Paths. Some focus on learning and helping, and some focus on passions and combat. Some are Paths steeped in suffering, but focus on the lessons we take away from the pain we feel when we make mistakes, or when we hurt someone, or when we impose wrongly on somebody else's Will. All of Their Paths encourage deep introspections, because They want us to be the goodliest us-es we can be. How to combat things like arrogance and greed, how to find compassion - how to help ourselves so we can help others.

I think in this, the Shofets's teachings are very similar to what peoples feel the Light represents. I want to learn to be more compassionate, and merciful, and know when to act and when to be justly and when to be right. I would like to make peoples feel safe and secure and forgiven like my friend made me feel. I want to give hopes and help peoples find inspiration within themselves!

My previous wrong-doings taught me a lot. I know now to speak up if someone is in danger, and to believe in my guts if they are screaming that something wrong, and to not let fear control me. And I am sorry every day that I kept my secret - it did not feel good keeping it, and I know now that peoples were hurt around me because they did not know what was going on. As a result I got enemied, and my family forsook me, and lots of peoples do not trust or outright hate me now. As is their right. ** the ink here has run, as if it has been briefly wetted **

Am still not entirely sure which guild would want to join if am allowed to join. Or which Supernal is the best? They all seem pretty great. Or why doves are so important to the Lady Rhapsody and Lady Lantra?? I still have much more learning to do about New Celest! But I am willing to learn, if you will give me the chance! I promise I will do my very best!

PS - my friend? The Beloved Ghostie Priest - we helped her, by the way, eventually. And she finally asked me to do something for her: to 'grow in peace and love'. I think that sounds like a nicely favor to do. Do you agree?
