Channel Rules #EFnet

The rules as of 2020 for channel #EFnet

1. Channel owner decisions trump channel masters.
2. Channel masters decisions trump channel ops.
3. Channel ops decisions trump voiced and lusers.
4. No manual ops, let EFnetbot op users.
5. In the event of bot failure, Owner or Masters can +o users manually (if the user is +o on the bot).
6. Owner will never ban a master.
7. Master will never ban an owner or another Master.  (this should be a no brainer)
8. Ops will never ban an Owner or a Master.
	a. If an op bans an Owner or a Master the consequence could be the loss of their +o temporarily or permanently.
9. Owner or Masters can kick an op, voiced or luser for any reason.
10. The decision to removal an Ops +o from the bot will be discussed between owner and masters in the appropriate channel.
11. The decision to add a +o to the bot will be discussed between owner and masters.
12. All #EFnet related business should be discussed in the appropriate channel.
	a. Bans, Unbannings, thoughts and concerns.
13. An IRC Operator opped by Operbot is treated as a regular +o user, they are not exempt from following the #EFnet rules.
14. Ascii Friday is a thing, let the ascii scroll.

EFnetbot's Ban Channel script.

1. An owner or master can add a host/ip to the EFnetbot's banchannel user thus exempting said user from being banned for being in a banchannel.
	a. Owner or master do not need permission to do so but should announce their plan to exempted the user in the appropriate channel.
	b. Removing a host/ip from the banchannel user can be done by a owner or master without permission but should be announced in the appropriate channel with an explanation as a courtsey.
2. Adding a banchannel to the list should be discussed in the appropriate channel.
3. Removing a banchannel from the list should be discussed in the approriate channel.
