Phylactery

Mike was studying some old books. They were normal books of old fantasy, he liked using ideas he read in their pages to bring about ideas for how he could use his Quirk. Some things such as potions, various spells, and even the various other ideas he hadn't tested out such as portals, and things for spaceships. As it seemed he could technically recreate parts from some of the sci-fi books he'd read about. But what good were they with out you know, a spaceship.

 He had been thinking about the ways he could help the town down below, he understood he could probably use Aqua Ring to clean up some of the Toxic waste, water was always a good use for healing, both people and the environment . At least so he read , and it seemed to be the case in so many other stories humanity had written.

Though even with that decided as his first job as an official hero he understood if he died, while down there, he wouldn't be able to help anyone. And so here he was reading books. Trying to find an idea he could try to replicate with his Quirk. Currently reading something about Necromancers. While he didn't understand the whole of it he didn't exactly like the idea of necromancy but there were many uses of it in different fictions. Some of the users being Clerics, and even some seemed to help spirits to the afterlife. Maybe the art itself wasn't so black or white but a more indifferent grey.

 Though after the fifth book that day, he had noticed a common device used by Necromancers that could probably help him net him some sort of safety net so he could do his duties as a hero with out fear of failure. Though he did notice a downside. The device needed to be an object closely tied to the person and fed mana constantly so that it could draw an imprint

of the person that it would reconstruct while also dragging their soul to this new vessel.

Though it seemed there were other methods of Revival. Things such as Life-Stones that could store a piece of someone's life energy, the stones themselves already created to draw in energy into them, when the person's life energy faded the stone would break open and the person would be revived .

 Then there were things like Phoenix Feathers, Potions of immortality , and then just the spells Revivify . But with all these things in mind none of them really fit perfectly but he had an idea. Looking over at his bed he moved to it and began to let his quirk do the work. Pulling out piece of black chalk he began drawing symbols onto the mattress and then some under it. He began channeling mana into the one's on the floor which caused the ones on the bed to singe themselves into the fabric. The house was an object itself but he did spend a good portion of his life asleep so to him this was probably the best object to feed the mana into. The bed already had imprint of his presences to it so when the symbols went from red to a soft grey he stopped the flow of mana into the runes on the floor but he noticed the faintest of mana being fed to the bed itself. Normally it

would be a good deal of a drain but he had incorporated  some of the Life-stone's qualities to also draw in energy from the area around. His house itself was drenched in magical energy so it'd be a bit before the surrounding area was effected but that'd be an issue he'd come across eventually.

 He looked over everything and he felt it was right, his gut telling him the Ritual had worked and was working as it should. Though he felt dying still wouldn't be something he wanted to face. While this was a safety net. And something he could fall back into should things go south. He got the feeling even through this will work, the revival wouldn't be with out some negative effects, even if they were possibly temporary. While he didn't understand why he knew, he'd come to know that he could trust his gut when using his Quirk.

Getting everything put back onto his bed he'd tidy up just a bit before putting the books into his dresser.   He decided with this finally set up it was time to get to work. He was a pro now, he could finally work to making this place better. A use for his power, one that felt like it was what he should peruse
