- Uri travels the land, hoping to find trust worthy ears in order to make the movements of stopping the war before anything could get out of hand... Even though at this point, it could not be stopped... He had the goal of pulling back those with a sound mind, those he could trust, those who would hear his word... It's become a common topic, outside of the Osronan walls that the Queen-Consort just might be a witch... Cetta...Romani, Sanna, and many others have heard of this same suspicion, but, without any proof, they could not move forward. A halted revolutions and actions of a vigilante, a true pirate who wants freedom not just for himself, but for the people of Osrona, with literally hundreds being forced to die for a big fat lie... But, Uri concludes that they could only move in one fashion... Despite many knowing, despite many investigating, they were forced to function, to move... In A Silent Way.
- [20:27] Uri Sanctum whispers to Elora Renae Otho: We must talk in private grans.
- [20:31] Elora Renae Otho says, "Of course dear."
- [20:31] Uri Sanctum whispers: Sanna knows this as well.
- [20:32] Sanna Arborea says, "Oh, Uri, Grandmother, please come in."
- [20:32] Uri Sanctum says, "Hey Sans, wanted to bring grandma inside."
- [20:33] Demios Arborea asks, "Oh, hello Elora. Doing well?"
- [20:33] Uri Sanctum says, "Alright so..."
- [20:33] Uri Sanctum says, "Grandma.."
- [20:33] Sanna Arborea asks, "Are we having this conversation now?"
- [20:33] Elora rose a brow as she sat. What was this all about.
- (Elora Renae Otho)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:34] Uri looks to his grandma as he would speak to her about the things he's done...
- "I went to Theria, through parley to speak with General Alya… Her and a few others have came to a conclusion I don't think you will like to hear, but because of it, you might need to retire sooner than we thought."
- He looks to Sanna..
- "It must be done, and with the two of you here... Least she'll know that we're all on the same page and safe."
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:34] Sanna Arborea says, "Demios what you're about to hear here does not leave this room."
- [20:35] Demios tilts his head slightly.
- "Alright..."
- (Demios Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:35] She sits back and crosses her arms. This was gonna be a big moment, depending on if Elora agreed with and believed them.
- (Sanna Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:37] As Uri spoke she'd center gaze upon him. Lifting a brow as he'd continue on.
- "Oh?"
- She'd question then look to the other two. Only to return her gaze back to Uri.
- "How do you mean dear? I would rather you lot be straight forward with me than beat around the bush.
- So please, whatever this is, you may tell me. You're my blood, no matter what it is I will hear you out until the end."
- The elder assured. THey were her grandchildren. They had nothing to fear. No matter what it could be.
- (Elora Renae Otho)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:40] He sighs, standing up at the table, placing his hands flat onto the wood as he would say to the lot of them...
- "I'll get to the point then... With all the evidence that adds up, from all whom I've spoken to, and the intel I have gathered... The current rumor, is that our Queen, Nebula, is a witch and... That she has Alexander, my dear friend and King under her control... A Hex, General Alya calls it..."
- He does a long blink. "But we've no proof to bring this to light, but, I'm sure that if we manage to... Many will withdraw from the war and see to it that this case mystery is solved."
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:41] Uri burns the letter of parley.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:42] Demios leans back slightly.
- "Oh, is this the big revelation?" He sighed slightly, his tail pressing to the floor as he leans back slightly.
- "Sorry to burst the bubble on this, but this is being spread as common knowledge outside of Osrona. Especially after what happend with Caila."
- (Demios Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:43] "That may be, but if you start spreading it and that gets linked back to me? Especially if it's true? My connections here cannot protect me from the Queen."
- A respectful head bow to Elora but a harsh admission of truth.
- (Sanna Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:45] He looks to his sister.
- "I'm not really one to gossip anyway. But I've encountered multiple large groups of people discussing this very thing."
- (Demios Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:48] When Uri spoke that time Elora had brought her hands up to the table top. Allowing her fingers to slide together as she did.
- While her grandson spoke she would remain silent. Those dull green eyes locked upon his own gaze. As he finished Elora turned her gaze first to Demios. She listened to his bit and then turned her attention to Sanna.
- As Sanna finished the elder closed her eyes. A long, deep, breath was taken in from her nose and held. Only to be exhaled a few seconds later.
- "I see."
- She began, those eyes finally opening.
- "You speak of what happened with Caila. Can you explain?"
- The elder asked toward Demios. She was currently unaware.
- (Elora Renae Otho)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:50] Uri wonders if Demios was going to explain.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:52] Demios brought a talon up to his chin, scratching slightly as he thought.
- "As far as I were told... Caila came to talk to the king and queen... something happend and they fought... Caila subdued them both and tried to incapacitate the queen... but apparently tha queen said something to Caila an Caila just let her go, after havin the intent to capture them. When I spoke to Caila, she didn't know why she let her go, said she felt like er mind weren't her own for a moment or something..."
- He tilted his head slightly, trying to remember if he left any detail out.
- "I think that's about it...?"
- (Demios Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:52] Uri Sanctum says, "There's more to it..."
- [20:52] Uri Sanctum says, "I was only a few feet away when it happened..."
- [20:55] Uri would look at Sanna from across the table, imitating what he saw as he'd glide his left index finger onto the wooden table, as if it were the blood... "A bit of blood, onto the lips..." He would do those same movements, and whisper a prayer, "And what we assume...Was the hex, a few words..."
- And finally, "Release me," he kept eye contact with Sanna.
- "And so she was released... Alya said that this was the hex... But no one else shall know that Alya was the one to tell me this..Agreed? I can't put the General at risk, she's been too kind and helpful."
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:58] Uri Sanctum says, "My other clues all came from Asta's announcements.."
- [20:58] Uri Sanctum says, "How the Kings been acting out of character, attacking them out of the blue at the wedding..."
- [20:58] Uri Sanctum says, "The leaders of Esshar have all given their hints."
- [21:10] What they were saying was very, very, very serious. However, by the way they spoke and acted alone Elora could easily deduce they were not lying. No. What they spoke they certainly believed to be true.
- While Demios spoke first the Elder would maintain eye contact with them. Observing them without hiding the fact. When he finished the elder turned her gaze back to Uri.
- Now.. when he spoke, there was something caught her attention. More than anything else. More than the fight between the King, Queen and Caila. More than Caila beating both the King and Queen.
- Blood.
- The single word fixed within her mind like that of a fly. Buzzing within her brain, annoying her. Standing out. Why..? It was simple when she thought about it. Memory. Long ago had .. well, not now. Not until they had definite proof.
- "This certainly makes things .. difficult. Such things are not light accusations. Such would likely mean death for the accused. If found to be wrong.. well, it is treason of the highest regard."
- The elder said and paused. Making her words very clear to the three of them before her. Yet, she spoke once more.
- "But. I believe you. I do. That said we must be very careful with how we proceed. We must find and have undeniable proof that the accused is indeed as accused.
- What has been discussed here does not leave this room. It does not wander to ears outside of this room. If we know, then we must assume that others within the city are aware or suspicious at the very least.
- With word spreading on the outside of our walls we can only assume that soon enough it will become common speak among the people. What we must do, before that can happen, is find the proof we must to make it impossible for the accused to lie.
- We must also find a way past these hex as they're called. So that if, rather, when the time comes to bring such to light the accused cannot use such powers against us."
- Taking a deep breath after that the elder spoke once more.
- "My life has been dedicated to helping others. To shielding them from danger, pain and so on. My destiny was named to that of our King. It is my responsibility to ensure his safety and his life.
- We cannot, we will not allow her to do this to our King anymore. When we have our proof, when we are absolutely certain of ourselves that is when we will make our case. First we shall go to the Faith. The Stellus, the Arch Priest and the High Keeper.
- They three will be able to present what we find to the King. If it is without a doubt proof that the accused is as accused.. no matter what power she holds over the King there is no law nor power that will save her from facing judgment.
- Together, for the King and for the sake of the people and those affected, we will see this brought to an end. Together. Has what I said made sense?"
- Finally, the end. But a question to result in more most likely.
- (Elora Renae Otho)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:15] She nodded and leaned forward, speaking quietly and intently.
- "A few more additions to our group. Romani and Cetta are both aware, the Stellus is pursuing evidence as well. Cetta first brought the idea to my attention though I've been able to add very little. Duana did mention that she had an ability that sounds like this Hex though she almost never used it and I never saw it in action.
- I've kept it to myself due to a lack of evidence or anything beyond Cetta's rumor. Though it seems more and more like the Queen is ruling, as the King wants to consult her on everything.
- Otherwise, I agree with what's been suggested."
- (Sanna Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:17] Sanna Arborea says, "I should clarify, I don't know where Romani stands, Cetta has said he's investigating."
- [21:18] Uri had something to say..
- "The only issue is that as a husband, he'll be in denial, maybe ven excuse the idea... We need to beat around it, have all of the court see it for themselves... However, we can't be too sure because, what if Marie, Eirene and Alice, are all hexed as well? That will be like starting a civil war..."
- He was cautious, but he kept those minds in the back of his head...Romani and Cetta.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:19] Demios sighs slightly, straightening himself up again, his tail returning to an idle sway.
- "With hostilities soon upon the town, I will likely be unable to frequent here, at risk of being branded a spy or traitor. So whatever involvement is required of me I will of course try to assert, but you must understand the limitations I'm under."
- He glances to the stairs, his daughter up them reading.
- "Also, I cannot be putting my daughter at risk. She's already lost one parent, I can't strip her of me as well."
- (Demios Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:21] "Of course Demios. I'd also like to propose this house as a meeting ground should matters like this need to be discussed. You two are too close to the King but I'm under no such scrutiny anymore. I'll make keys available should anyone need them."
- Now it was downright a plot. Until they had evidence they were discussing treason.
- "I'd advise it's not discussed in any manner outside these walls."
- (Sanna Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:21] Uri Sanctum says, "Mhm.."
- [21:21] Demios Arborea says, "This is all such a shame, I quite like Alexander."
- [21:26] While they all spoke Elora would listen. Just like before. It was a minute or two after all this information was given that she would speak.
- "I see. Then it is safe to bring whatever information we may find to the Stellus. Or, I shall and can do so myself.
- So that none of you may face such danger."
- Her gaze shifted to Demios and then to Uri. Switching between the two as she'd speak.
- "The lives of your daughters are what is most important in your life. Above mine, above the Kings, above proving the Queen is as accused.
- Putting you in danger puts them in danger. Whatever information you obtain going forward, please bring it to me so that I may spread it myself."
- Pausing there she would nod when it was mentioned about being close to the King.
- "That is why I out of everyone in this city, will not be suspected of such actions. He will not expect me.
- Our King cannot read me like he can others. I've made it a point to make it impossible for him as well as many others.
- Whatever is to be done, going forward, please bring it to me first. Your lives and the lives of your daughters are what is important.
- Am I clear?"
- This was not a statement, nor suggestion. This was an order. A request. A demand.
- (Elora Renae Otho)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:28] Uri looks his grandmother in the eye, nodding his head as he would reply with a simple, "I understand..." He looks to everyone at the table, for Elora was right, the life of the children came first... They could not risk exposure at this point...
- "We must do so... In A Silent Way..."
- He said with a calm tone, placing his index finger by his mouth, as if he were shushing the world... In A Silent Way... Their words could only be passed through organized movements and whispers in the wind.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:29] She nodded in agreement.
- "Since we're discussing witches, I imagine grandmother doesn't need any information, but anything I know about Duana and her abilities will be made available. Unfortunately it's not very much as far as witchcraft goes, but..."
- She looked up to the ceiling for a moment.
- "As far as evidence goes, I struck on an idea last night. It'll be difficult to get this knowledge, but..."
- She paused before speaking again.
- "The information I'm about to give is only known by a few select people and its highly forbidden to seek it out, let alone learn it. It pertains to the rite of becoming a witch. However given the circumstances I can reveal a small portion to help in information acquisition. But anyone who doesn't want to know should leave now."
- (Sanna Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:31] Demios nodded his agreement.
- "Naturally."
- Demios stood up, moving towards the stairs, leaning against the wall slightly.
- "If there is nothing else that needs to be stated now, I'm going to take Sapphire home."
- With war fast approaching, he wanted to make sure there was a good bit of temporal distance between himself and Osrona, to further reduce the chances of people accusing him of things.
- He paused for a moment as Sanna spoke, knowing that said knowledge might be useful in spotting potential threats.
- He moved back to the seat, sitting down with almost reluctance, his tail coiling around the chair.
- "I real hope this isn't going to make my stomach churn..."
- (Demios Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:32] Uri nods and would stand up.
- (Uri Sanctum)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:33] Uri Sanctum says, "Probably good we head out as well grandma."
- [21:34] Caleb hugs Sanna.
- (Caleb Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:34] Sanna Arborea asks, "Oh, Caleb, can we talk in a bit?"
- [21:34] Sanna hugs back
- (Sanna Arborea)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:34] Sanna Arborea says, "This is...a bit critical."
- [21:34] Caleb Arborea says, "Mhm."
- [21:34] Sanna Arborea says, "Thanks"
- [21:37] A long silence from her that time. Her mind was working on overtime that at the moment. Thinking over the multitude of outcomes and possibilities that could transpire.
- She began to narrow them down, however, as the thers spoke Elora would speak.
- "Demios, Uri, leave. This is not for you. For it will put your children at risk."
- The elder finally said, breaking her silence. Blinking a second or so later after speaking.
- "Go on, go now. Demios see your child to safety. Uri, go and be with your girls. They miss their father.
- Do not argue with me. Just go."
- Elora said to them both. Encouraging them to leave. She had made her point just before, now was the time for them to act on it.
- (Elora Renae Otho)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:38] Uri nods... "Alright grandma, I won't argue about this, but, if I hear anything else.... If I am forced to do anything else, I will come back to you and Sanna to inform..."
- He makes his way to the door, after hugging everyone at the table, even Sapphire, the little niece of his or..Whatever she may be.
- The Captain stood there for a moment when he was about to leave, only thinking to himself before making his departure... 'We function, we live, and we serve, In A Silent Way...' And so departed the Wandering Phoenix.
