A lot of fellow thread shitposters seem to think that a whole lot of bullshit happens under the table with the team, especially with the advent of the whole goldmeme leak thing.
So was that situation exceptional or is there a bit of infighting going on in our adminship?

There really isnt much if any infighting in the admin team, especially compared to other servers. Some minor disagreements here and there but I only recall having to break up a fight maybe once or twice in my tenure as Headmin. By comparison, we do really well with admin teamwork. TGstation was, and still is to a degree, notorious for admin drama.

I think /vg/station is stagnating in terms of code and features. While other servers are rolling out neat code, features, and game modes we're generally stuck with the same shit. We're trikle fed uninteresting features and the biggest changes and additions we get are new maps which die out within a month or two merely because IT ISNT MUH BOX.
I think our drop in playercount is reflective of that.

During your reign of terror, what was your #1 favorite banvalid collected and why?

The one that sticks out the most was Morena. There was really no precedent or  procedure for handling someone like that. When I banned him, I think I set a precedent, and drew a clear line in the sand, that, that sort of conduct and behavior was not going to be tolerated or considered acceptable here, and I think the community still benefits from that when it's actually properly enforced. I dont think other SS13 servers really have that sort of boundary.
In hindsight, I completely and utterly failed to enforce this with Goldsteel. If I still had my "killing edge" I had when Goldsteel did his shit, I would have deadminned him and perma banned him to the same degree that 2hotdogs and S*rca are banned now. That failure is an indication that my time is up.

Buckle down and pay attention to detail, be approachable to the playerbase and other admins. Enforce your policy and directives clearly, consistantly, and effectively. Walk softly, conduct yourself firmly but politely, but carry a big stick. Either control the shitters or they control you.
