background : She was born in Daegu, South Korea, but when her brother, Seungcheol, chose to join Pledis at age 13, she and her parents moved to New York, where she continues her education. She was a top student, always staying top 3 in her school, and she was known for being a unique beauty since she wasn't like her famous big brother. She was popular, but she didn't enjoy having people chase after her, and her friends were often considered her 'sidekicks'.
