  1. Real Name and Talent (if applicable): N/A
  2. Biological Gender: Female
  3. Full Personality: Same as public.
  4. Full Backstory: Soraya does not talk about her family life, considering what she had been through when she was younger. Her father unfortunately died the day of her birth, leaving her mother alone in the hospital with the newborn Soraya. Her mother was left horrified from the loss and for a while, she looked at Soraya with disdain because she was unable to love herself and her own child. She left Soraya in the care of her sister and Soraya was mainly raised by her aunt Kalyani and her older cousin, Kumari. Because of how much she stayed with them, Soraya believed that Kalyani and Kumari were her mother and brother, and the two really did treat her as if she were their own. As Soraya got older, the question of what she wanted to do with her life entered the scene and she suffered through fits of indecision and frustration, mainly because she wanted to do something that wouldn’t disappoint Kumari and Kalyani. The best place she looked for inspiration was from Kumari and he was an underground DJ for various raves and parties that were held in the deepest parts of Shinjuku. One night when he was scheduled to perform, Soraya had followed him out and went to one of the parties, which was where she was introduced to glow poi for the first time. She was in awe at the performers and after that night, her desires became solidified; she wanted to be a glow poi performer. Soraya continued following Kumari out to his underground rave parties at Shinjuku, where she continued watching and studying the performers’ movements. She was self-taught in how to use glow poi and she bought her equipment with her own money she got from doing chores at home. Soraya continued this training for months and she was eventually noticed in the parties that Kumari played at, her getting more attention that the main DJ attraction, which had upset Kumari and made him get jealous of Soraya when he discovered it was her.
  5. After this, he demanded that she leave the underground venues because this was where he was born to thrive and not her. Soraya was indifferent on the subject and continued going there and continued doing her glow poi performances. All was going well for the few nights until something rather deadly happened. During one of the parties, it was forced to a halt by a sudden invasion of yakuza, which sent everyone into a state of panic and disarray, even more so when there was open fire in the crowd. Soraya looked up to see many people fall to the ground with bullets in their bodies, sinking further into a fearful state. It reached its peak when she saw Kumari attempting to fight them off, only to get a bullet to his brain. Horrified, Soraya could do nothing but hide until the yakuza left. When they did, Soraya stumbled out of her place of hiding and went to Kumari’s dead corpse, where she was in tears. She felt as if it was her fault for being here and because Kumari had told her repeatedly to leave. She ended up carrying a bloody Kumari home that night. Despite the event traumatizing her greatly, she did not stop her pursuits of glow poi. Later, Soraya had even adopted a persona she used when she performed and even changed her appearance, so people could distinguish her from her “other” self, or “Soaring Soraku”. To this day, she continues to do her best and does glow poi in Kumari’s memory.
  6. Important Secrets: Soraya may potentially have DID because she considers Soraku her “other” self and because she doesn’t like when people consider them the same person.
  7.
  8. Important People in their life: Kumari and Kalyani.
  9.
  10. Likes: Glow poi, stuffed animals, mystery novels, baking, reading, shopping, researching medicine, psychology, dark colors, violet flowers, and lavender tea.
  11.
  12. Dislikes: Loud noises, when people think Soraya and Soraku are the same person, harassment of any kind, bitter tasting foods,
  13.
  14. 5 (or more) Monocoin machine items: Glow sticks, murder mystery novel, glow poi sticks, fennec fox plush, strawberry mochi, and butterscotch candy.
  15.
  16. Skills that will be useful in a Killing Game: Nothing really.
  17.
  18. Strengths: Soraya has some more physical strength than one would assume, considering that she is a performance artist and she dances. She also has stamina, considering her line of work. She is also quite intelligent for her age.
  19.
  20. Weaknesses: Most social interactions are difficult for Soraya and she is a very meek individual. Her submissive nature also makes her more prone to declining others. She is a bit of an emotional wreck and does not do well on her own.
  21. Investigation Behavior: She’ll try her best to help, but she tends to stray away from the gory scenes. She fears the sight of blood and will try her best to avoid it. Collecting evidence with others isn’t hard for her to do and if she works with a group, she will probably do her best and put in her input on certain things.
  22.
  23. Trial Behavior: Quiet, unless spoken to. She’ll get nervous if she’s put on the spot and she will have some difficulty putting her words and thoughts together, considering she has never been in a situation like this before.
  24.
  25. Likeliness to be a victim (1-10) and why: 5. I mainly leave it up to chance and it’s a 50/50 chance I get murdered. However, Soraya’s innocence may make her more easily to kill without remorse. It mainly depends on how people view her.
  26.
  27. Likeliness to be a culprit (1-10) and why: 5. Leaving it up to chance yet again. It mainly depends on what could possibly push her over the edge in terms of the motives and what not. The thought of murder frightens her, but it isn’t impossible for her to kill.
  28.
  29. Could they be the traitor and why?: I could see Soraya doing so, mainly to protect everyone else and be sort of like Chiaki in SDR2, leading them to the correct culprit towards the end if she lives that long. As a traitor to the entire group, she probably wouldn’t even consider doing so because she isn’t the one to disrupt the group and cause chaos.
  30.
  31. Could they be the mastermind and why?: Personally, I don’t see her being the mastermind, but if she does end up doing so, it could be an interesting twist because no one really suspects the innocent and quiet girls. If she would be the mastermind, she would have this twisted aura about her and she feels as if making this killing game is a righteous act on her part and she must do this to please someone else, most likely Junko Enoshima. If given the mastermind role, I’d probably have to develop her story a bit more and go into why she turned to despair in the first place.
