SCP-055 is a non-conceptualized entity or force presenting through memetic proxies—most often perceived as a young girl whose presence cannot be retained in conscious memory. Attempts to document or recall SCP-055 consistently result in either incomplete data, contradictory information, or aggressive emotional collapse.

The few preserved logs describe SCP-055 as inducing the following layered anomalous effects:

Post-Memetic Amnesia: Individuals who encounter SCP-055, whether visually, verbally, or textually, cannot retain specific details about the interaction. Even when recorded, the media becomes corrupted, unreviewable, or blank upon playback.

Emotive Displacement: Exposure triggers an unsourced emotional resonance, often described as longing, regret, or unidentifiable yearning. This emotional echo becomes unbearable with time, causing psychological deterioration.
