  3. -- Members of the 9th Politburo announced: --
  4.
  5. Today comrade Premier Lenin has announced the members of the 9th Political Bureau of the Bolshevik Party's Central Committee in the SFSR's capital of Moscow. Many members of the 8th Politburo remain, such as comrade Lenin; Commissar Stali.n for Nationalities; Commissar Trotsky for Military & Naval Affairs, and Foreign Affairs; Commissar Kamenev for Education; and Commissar Zinoviev for Social Welfare.
  6.
  7. The two new members of the 9th Politburo are Nikolai Bukharin and Mikhail Kalinin. Nikolai Bukharin is a young and rising star in the Bolshevik Party at 31 years of age and is considered an economic specialist, already holding two Commissariat positions (for Trade & Industry and for Finance). Mikhail Kalinin, aged 44, is a founding member of the Bolshevik Party and is well known within the SFSR as the Chairman of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee - he now takes a more central role within the party leadership.

  10. -- Red Army budget increases, fortresses built along border of RSFSR: --
  11.
  12. Leon Trotsky, Commissar for Military & Naval Affairs, has announced an increase of spending into the Red Army to provide for the security of the Russian proletariat against the imperialist threat. Commissar Trotsky announced plans for the immediate raising of 6 Cavalry Regiments, 2 Armoured Car Regiments and 2 Artillery Regiments. Details were not given on their date of completion, or how many units were raised and equipped already, but regardless this is a decision which will benefit not only the Russian proletariat but the global one.
  13.
  14. Additionally, fortresses have been built in capital cities of the Governorates which border other nations - currently the cities of Kandalakskaya, Kostomuksha, Petrograd, Smolensk, Moscow, Penza, Don Cossac and Konstantinvosk are all protected by a sizeable and fortified Red Army garrison.

  17. -- Completion of Petrograd - Don Cossac Railway, Great Northern Railroad announced: --
  18.
  19. As promised by Commissar for Railways Podbelsky, the great Petrograd to Don Cossac Railway has been completed ahead of time and under budget, due entirely because of the hard work ethic of the Soviet proletariat.
  20.
  21. Additionally, Commissar Podbelsky announced a new 'Great Northern Railroad' which would pass through the cities of Moscow, Kostroma, Vologda, Syktvkar, Nikol'sk and Kotlas. No date was given on the expected completion of this line, but judging by the astounding progress made by the proletariat in constructing the Petrograd-Don Cossac line, it should not take long.

  28. ///Expansion of Bolshevik Security Services announced, 'GPU' formed.///
  29.
  30. In a joint press conference today, Commissar for Interior Affairs Alexei Rykov and Director of the Cheka ('Emergency Committee') Felix Dzerzhinsky announced the formation of a wider Bolshevik security service, the State Political Directorate or 'GPU', and Cheka's amalgamation into this new agency.
  31.
  32. Addressing Pravda, other journalists, and party officials, Dzerzhinsky told of how the new State Political Directorate would help to aid the Russian proletariat of the SFSR by protecting them from threat, both internal and external. Class enemies from inside the RSFSR would be eliminated for the protection of the Bolshevik worker, while the heroic agents of the GPU would work to protect the RSFSR both passively and proactively from the obvious Imperialist threat from the west.
  33.
  34. Director Dzerzhinsky is a committed Bolshevik and Marxist whose loyalty to the party and its cause is shown by his heroic dismissal of his aristocratic heritage, and his participation in the Revolution and Civil War. This is a move that will only benefit the Russian proletariat, and the RSFSR.

  41. ///Polish-Soviet War Begins! Marshal Tukhachevsky launches offensive to liberate the Lithuanian proletariat from the Imperialist aggressors.///
  42.
  43. The western, German, imperialist threat has finally been realised as the bourgeois forces of Kaiser Wilhelm II brutally attacked the rebelling proletariat in the neighbouring state of Lithuania. The army of Lieutenant-General Erich von Falkenhayn, German-appointed governor of the Polish puppet state, invaded Lithuania last month in order to stop the spread of the Marxist proletariat revolution, which saw Soviets and Red Guards formed all across the nation. Though they fought bravely, the untrained peasants and workers who took up arms against the imperialist aggressors fought to the death and were defeated - but not before the eastern Lithuanian provinces of Orsha and Mogilev joined the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. Regardless, the dishonourable and greedy bourgeois rogues of the German Kaiser attacked anyway - bringing in the previously neutral RSFSR into the war.
  44.
  45. Today, Comrades Lenin and Trotsky travelled to the bordering fortress city of Smolensk in order to co-ordinate a response with Marshal Mikhail Tukhachevsky, Chief of General Staff of the Red Army, and with Colonel General Sergey Kamenev, commander of the Central Military District which encompasses the Smolensk okrug. Colonel General Kamenev was appointed as commander of the 3rd Soviet Army Group from Moscow and was charged to recapture the provinces of Orsha and Mogilev, as well as to liberate the proletariat wherever else possible. Marshal Tukhachevsky was appointed as co-commander of the Lithuanian Theater alongside Commissar Trotsky, who as head of the Commissariat for Military & Naval Affairs is the Commander-in-Chief of the Red Army.
  46.
  47. The 3rd Soviet Army Group comprises the bulk of the Red Army's latest developments, including the many tank, armoured car, artillery and cavalry regiments founded in the past two years. Marshal Tukhachevsky, Commissar Trotsky and Colonel General Kamenev are all combat veterans of the glorious Proletariat Revolution and the Red Army is sure to be victorious in their capable hands.
  48.
  49. The Russian peoples and the global proletariat wish for a swift and decisive Soviet victory against the imperialist German-Polish army in order to spread world revolution and to topple the oppressive bourgeois order which enslaves the working class!

  58. -- Germano-Polish imperialists defeated in Lithuania: --
  59.
  60. Joyous celebrations take place all across the RSFSR as the news of a Soviet victory in Lithuania is announced. Under the command of Commissar Trotsky, Marshal Tukhachevsky and Colonel General Kamenev, the 3rd Soviet Army Group seized back the provinces of Homyel and Mogilev thus defeating the cowardly Germano-Polish forces of Lt. General von Falkenhayn. Starting with a massive artillery bombardment on the enemy forces, a combined arms assault of armour, cavalry and infantry converged on the two cities and decimated the joint German-Polish force. The bourgeois forces fled in disarray from the brave soldiers of the proletariat, leaving thousands of the imperialists dead to only a few hundred martyred Russians.
  61.
  62. The victories at Homyel and Mogilev sent a strong message from Premier Lenin to Kaiser Wilhelm II, showing the glorious revolutionary's resolve to stand up for the proletariat wherever they are threatened. Pravda can also announce that Marshal Tukhachevsky and Colonel General Kamenev have been made Heroes of the RSFSR, the highest award that can be bestowed upon the Russian proletariat.

  65. -- Workers' revolution in Finland: --
  66.
  67. Pravda reports with great pleasure the news of a democratic workers' revolution in neighbouring Finland, with the Finnish Communist Party winning upwards of 90% of the vote in last month's election. Premier Lenin looks forward to continued relations with Premier Juho Heink, who recently joined the newly formed Communist International.
  68.
  69.
  70. -- Communist International founded: --
  71.
  72. The Communist International, or Comintern, was this month founded in the birthplace of the Russian Revolution, Petrograd. Appointed as its secretary is Politburo member, Commissar for Trade & Industry and for Finance, Nikolai Bukharin. Bukharin has since resigned as Commissar for Trade & Industry, with current Commissar for Labour Mikhail Tomsky taking his place.
  73.
  74. The Communist International will act as a global organisation which intends to fight by all available means for the overthrow of the international bourgeoisie and for the creation of an international Soviet republic, as a transition stage to the complete abolition of the State, as described in the doctrines of Marx and our Premier, Vladimir Lenin.
  75.
  76. The Comintern will fund the growth of workers' parties across the globe in order to achieve the above goal, and will also act as a military alliance to co-ordinate the defense of the global proletariat - beginning in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic and in Finland, the latest member state.
