Gilliam_Yaeger> "First, we'll need to delay these mechs for a time, while I prepare myself" Lyn said, not taking her eyes off that tablet of hers, "You three can hold them off for a few moments, right?"
<BSRaven> "Um... I'm not so sure if I can."
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "You don't have to win, you just have to survive, and keep them inside this area."
<BSRaven> "Still not so sure."
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Its either that, or they slaughter us. Your choice."
<Sandwitches> "I can do more than just delay them."  Birdy smirks.
<BSRaven> "..." A blank stare. "I am only speaking for myself, and not those two..."
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Hm." Lyn turns her focus fully to her tablet, and starts muttering something under her breath.

<BSRaven> Stuck for ideas, Simon just... Grabs a handful of snow and throws it at the Guymelef with the regalia. [You said delay, I'm delaying.]
<Sandwitches> Both Natsu and Birdy grit their teeth and brace themselves for whats about to come...
<Sandwitches> The two Guymelefs take up posistions on either side of the gate...  and start to use their flame throwers to set the even more of the shrine on fire!
<Sandwitches> The Dragon Slayer on the other hand takes up a posistion on the far side of the Valley, near the path that leads into the canyon...
<Sandwitches> To his credit, the young pink haired boy just... opens up his mouth and INHALES the Flames from the flamethrowers, preventing the fire from spreading!
<BSRaven> Simon just kind of deflates a little at the sight of it.
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Tell me," Lyn calls out to the knights, "Is this what the knights of Zaibach have been reduced to? Hiding from women and children like cowards? Are you too scared to come at us?"
<Gilliam_Yaeger> Lyn turns to Natsu, "Thats an interesting skill you've got there. Perhaps you can demonstrate it some more on these flames around us? It'd greatly help if they were gone."
<Sandwitches> "Tsk..."  The Dragon Slayer trembles with anger, but doesn't seem to move from its spot.
<Sandwitches> "Sure!  I was getting hungry anyway!"
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "And you, girl, can you show them that we're far from harmless, even in here?"
<Sandwitches> "RRRRRAAAAARRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"  A piercing cry echoes through the vallies and Canyons...  and is moments later greated by a dozen smaller but similar cries.
<BSRaven> "I am going to take that as a cue to leave."
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Ah, excellent," Lyn mutters to herself, "They've taken the bait." She grabs Simon's shoulder. "Not just yet. Not until we can see them in the canyon."

<BSRaven> "..." The look on his face does more justice than words as to how terrible an idea he feels this is.
<Sandwitches> Birdy is unshaken by the roar and holds out her right fist at a Guymelef...  and a beam of Yellow energy explodes from her fist, smashing into the mech!
<BSRaven> Simon... Just seems to stand there, doing nothing. Internally though, he's just trying to punch the urge to panic in its face. Fairly successfully, at that.
<Sandwitches> As he does that... The ground seems to start to rumble...
<Sandwitches> All three Guymelefs turn towards birdy, and let fly massive metal spikes from their arms!
<Sandwitches> There is another howl...  and two massive black beasts crash down into the Valley.  One is covered in get black fur, and has blades on its forelimbs and spikes on its tail....  the other seems to be covered in scales, and a black mist drifts off of it...
<Sandwitches> Both beasts let out another shrill roar, as 3 other jet black dragons descend from the sky...  each with an armored rider atop their back.
<BSRaven> "Ah..." And Simon stretches out slightly... Before spinning around and slamming a backfist into the cliff behind him over and over and over again. "I'm fed up with waiting!"
<BSRaven> "Screw the plan, I'm making my own way from here!"
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Well thats just fine," Lyn says, grinning, "Because that is the plan! FIMBULVETR!"
<Sandwitches> The drill itself Smashes into the valley wall without much fanfare other than a deep rumbling...  Coming from...  Below?!
<Sandwitches> The rumbling grows into a full tremor, green light starting to radiate out from the drill fold itself around its point...
<Sandwitches> Cracks seeping green light stretch across the stony wall, radiating outward in a spiral pattern!
<BSRaven> At which point Simon... stops? His hand open, pointing against the cliff face... Before snapping shut into the fist and jamming the drill in. A one-inch punch.
<Sandwitches> The drill digs in.
<Sandwitches> Stone explodes, clearing them a path to the north...  and sitting there, amid the center of that path is an all too familiar sight...
<Sandwitches> A large mechanical red head just big enough for Simon to ride in, attached to a drill just as big.
<BSRaven> "...How'd you get there?"
<Sandwitches> "...  You know that thing?"
<BSRaven> "Know it?" A smile as he holds up the Core Drill. "I have the key to using it."
<Sandwitches> "Thats...  *THATS* your mech?"
<BSRaven> "That's mine alright." A whistle, as if beckoning for the little mech to come over. "Some might say only half of it, but... well, Bro..."
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Huh...Smallest one of those I've ever seen..." Lyn says, lowering her arm from the gate which was now quite definitely frozen solid - nothing's getting through that thing for a while. "Only half of it, you say?"
<BSRaven> "I'll show you." Simon grins as he leaps over the 'forehead' and jams in the Core Drill. "Count nothing out when I get involved though."

<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Huh, cool. Regardless, we have to get moving! That wall won't keep them forever!"
<BSRaven> "I'll take up the back. You three go first and yell if you hit a wall."
<Sandwitches> "Alright!  I'll get them out of here and come back for you!"  Birdy calls!
<BSRaven> "Have fun. I know I will." Even Lagann is smirking.
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Right." Lyn runs past Simon.
<Sandwitches> "You better make it out of here alive!" The pink haired kid roars form Birdys grasp.
<Sandwitches> As all three make it out of the area...  Two Guymelefs rise from amid the scattered stone, their invisibility cloaks failing...
<BSRaven> The helix interface inside Lagann begins filling up... Simon smirking as he takes the mini-Ganmen up into the air, looking to kick the closer of the two Guymelefs in the chest.
<BSRaven> The kick works too well, knocking it over -- at which point Lagann lands behind it and punches it back onto its feet. "STAY UP!"
<BSRaven> A quick jump into the air... And Lagann's legs turn into the large drill that it had first arrived with, aiming straight onto a collision course with the Guymelef's head!
<BSRaven> "LAGANN IMPACT!"
<BSRaven> *"LAGANN IMPACT!"
<BSRaven> Bullseye. Lagann lands straight on its head, sending shocks of green energy throughout its body... Before the entire Guymelef matches Lagann's paintscheme, turning to face the other one, pauldrons and similar plates on it's body taking on a drill-like pattern as it does so.
<BSRaven> Just to seal the deal, a pair of pointed sunglasses take form on Lagann's face.
<Sandwitches> The solider piloting the Guymelef is violents ejected from the machine going ass over teakettle OVER the mountain towards the dragons.
<Sandwitches> The other guymelefs pilot probably just shit himself.
<BSRaven> "Alseides... LAGANN!" The new... combination... just folded its arms at the other Guymelef. "Just who the hell do you think I am?!"
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Huh...parasitic control? Really haven't seen that before..."
<Sandwitches> But...  the other Guymelef still manages to stand strong, charging forward and bringing down its liquid metal blade!
<BSRaven> "YOU'LL HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THAT!" The Alseides' arm darts out and grabs the arm by the wrist high in the swing's arc!
<Sandwitches> "So fast!"  the other Machines pilot gasps
<BSRaven> And receives the sight of the other hand turning into a drill, spinning alarmingly fast as it tries to punch into the abdomen!
<Sandwitches> And the other guymeled is bisected, its pilot being sent flying, but still quite alive.
<BSRaven> "AND TELL THEM IT WAS SIMON WHO SPARED YOU!"
<Sandwitches> The man stares for a moment....  before passing out cold.
<BSRaven> At which point the hijacked Guymelef bursts into a run, hoping to rejoin its comrades.

<Sandwitches> The group takes off...  and manages to approach the escape area without any further issues.  However, as they approach they catch sight of someone coming up the path...  a young girl, who looks a year or two older than Birdy, with green hair, and an outfit rather unsuited for the cold...
<Gilliam_Yaeger> Lyn pulls her hood up.
<BSRaven> "Huh?"
<Sandwitches> After a moment, the girl seems to see them...  and then the smoke, billowing out in the distance.  "Oh no!"
<Sandwitches> "Whys there a fire here?!"
<Sandwitches> The girl starts to run past the group
<BSRaven> "Wait, what's wrong?"
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "..."
<Sandwitches> "The Shrine!  They can't be here already!"
<BSRaven> "Huh?"
<Sandwitches> "Tell me whats happening!  Please!"
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "...They tried to burn the shrine to the ground," Lyn finally speaks up.
<Sandwitches> "Who!?  Zaibach!?" She looks almost ready to cry.
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "Yes. There's...nothing left, in there. Not anymore, anyway."
<Sandwitches> "..."  The girl looks weak in the knees.  "B-both..."
<Sandwitches> "She...  She can't be gone too..."
<BSRaven> "Who?"
<Gilliam_Yaeger> Lyn is silent for a moment, before she wraps an arm around the young girl's shoulder. "...Come on, we need to get moving," she says, "Zaibach pursuit can't be far off."
<Gilliam_Yaeger> "We, at least, managed to escape with our lives."
<Sandwitches> She looks up at the older woman, confusion...  and then clairity etched on her features, as tears stream down her cheeks.  "A-alright...  M-my f-friends aren't t-that far...  I'll t-take you t-there."
