- Weapons and Armour
- Combat is dangerous. And sadly you can’t take your mech with you on every mission or to do everything. And when you’re out and about without that – you have tools of the trade.
- General rules
- - Weapons and Armour are scaled typically between 0 and 4. Special weapons or Armour can break this but it is uncommon.
- - Vehicles and Mechas when targeting people count as using Weapon 4.
- - When using a Weapon at a person if you hit, add that weapons ratings to the number of shifts of damage you inflict
- - Armor reduces the amount of shifts in damage you would take. If it reduces it to 0, the person instead gets a Boost.
- - When using a personal weapon against a vehicle or mech, the weapon rating is the *maximum* amount of damage it can inflict. Thus a steak knife Weapon 0 cannot harm a tank. It could however create an advantage cutting the threads or something else, which weapon ratings do not apply to.
- Example Weapon Ratings
- 0 – Steak Knife
- 1 – Combat Knife, Swords
- 2 – Pistols, two handed swords
- 3 – Rifles
- 4 – Heavy weapons such as Rocket Launchers, Vehicle weapons
- Example Armour Ratings
- 0 – Birthday suit
- 1 – Flak Jacket
- 2 – Interceptor Body Armour
- 3 – Powered Exoskeleton (New Design)
- Typically heavy end weapons and armour have other restrictions on them – and these are only an example.
