- Day 21: Hula Soul
- I don't know what happened after I tried to fight my reflection, but whatever happened certainly didn't end well, as I woke up on the shores of a beach. Did I make a mistake trying to fight my problems?
- I just took a second to look at my environment. Right next to me were a pair of torches planted into the ground, as well as a pair of palm trees, planted cleanly in a straight line. The ocean in front of me was dark, as the setting sun reflected its warm light off the horizon. Waves crashed against the shore, mist spraying the leaves of the trees.
- The only thing thing I had for myself were questions. Was I dreaming that entire sequence with the mountain? Am I dreaming now, or did I lose my fight? Why have I followed this path for so long? What awaits me at the end of this? Is there even an end to this?
- I don't know how long I've been on this journey, and while nothing severely terrible has happened so far, I hope that I can actually tell where the end lies.
- The tranquility and personal contemplation was abruptly interrupted by a large boom and rumbling. As I turn around to figure out what happened, I see two large volcanoes spewing hot rocks from their tops. Unsure of what to do in this situation, I tried to find a spot to higher ground and safety.
- I found a relatively safe area, and watched as the rocks tumbled down and hit areas around where I was. I started to feel even more heat as the volcanoes spewed out more of their insides, releasing all their fury out onto the surface.
- The chaos ensued by these magma-filled mountains made me contemplate my own emotions. When I snapped at people, did I do this much damage to people around me? Is this even preventable?
- The heat eventually got really tough to handle, probably due to the numerous amounts of hot, molten rock that was strewn about. As soon as it got extremely uncomfortable, I jolted awake yet again...
