Vernestra took a deep breath and ran from the alley, right toward the lodging house. The Nihil were ready, and the blaster fire erupted after only a couple of steps. Vernestra repelled the blaster bolts that came near with her lightsaber at first, her connection to the Force guiding her movements, but as they got closer the accuracy of the shots improved and Vernestra had to move faster.
