Somber #13

[18:23:49]	Somber	An hour or so later, the EMH had patched up both Swampy and Edna, mending their crippled heads with doctors bags. The injuries healed, the surgical robot moved back into its repair bay and closed down, leaving the five to recover. An hour later, shimmershy also woke up. The air still smelled of ozone; the air sharp and acrid smelling. Definitely a place
[18:24:14]	Somber	with some compromised atmosphere talismans or something.
[18:26:52]	Edna_Stonetalon	sits watching the door, waiting for the others "Think we could get that robot out of here? Be worth a good deal of caps to the right buyer"
[18:27:35]	Shimmershy	did not seem to be sleeping peacefully, as she shifted and mumbled unhappily in her sleep. Something about burning, loss, loneliness. It was hard to make out anything very specific. She eventually managed to make it back to being awake with a yawn, slowly climbing down off the table and stretching her legs a few moments.
[18:28:49]	Swamp_Shadow	groans before opening her eyes slowly. Hissing, she shuts her left eye and gingerly touches her foreleg at the scar over the left side of her skull. "Ah... What the hell happened?"
[18:29:59]	Edna_Stonetalon	smiles at Swampy "Welcome back to the land of the living. Oh and you got shot... a lot"
[18:31:20]	Wanderlust	refuses to leave Swampy's side. Despite the clearly beneficial operation the robot had performed on her, she still looked to be in rough shape. He wasn't going to leave and risk a relapse, and honestly he hoped to be there when she wakes up. As he muses he misses Swampy opening her eyes, and its only thanks to the groan he snaps back to the present. He nuzzles her tenderly
[18:31:21]	Wanderlust	on the cheek. "You were shot up really bad, I'm glad you pulled through."
[18:32:13]	Shimmershy	looks up to Swamp Shadow. "We got chased into an old Stable because -someone- didn't know how to hold their fire." She snorted and glared at Edna briefly before turning her nose up. "Thankfully, your life was saved by the robots here. Unfortunately, we're locked in and Gator's outside just waiting to gobble us up." She didn't seem happy at all about that prospect, looking
[18:32:14]	Shimmershy	more angry than anything else.
[18:34:38]	Swamp_Shadow	nuzzles Wander back, tired. "Ah guess that would explain why mah left eye's feelin' off." Upon hearing Shimmershy's words, Swampy looked away. "No... It's mah fault. Ah got distracted by all the fighting this morning and wasn't paying attention to the route Ah was taking. It is still this morning right? How long have Ah been out?" she asked Wanderlust, worried that she might have been out for a few days.
[18:36:24]	Night_Wind	stares at the robot and sighs. It already has a high mobility. In theory it should be possible to move it, but for all her staring she can't figure out how you're supposed to disengage the RJ-93 connection without the surge taking out the MND-11R mainboard. Sure, shutting it down would work...if she had a master spell matrix to bring important functions back online... She
[18:36:25]	Night_Wind	sighs and shakes her head. "Why is nothing easy?"
[18:36:47]	Shimmershy	rolled her eyes. "oh yes. We've packed -so much- adventure into this day. Don't worry. It's only been a few hours." She moved over towards the door out of the medical room with an annoyed snort. "And don't feel too bad, Swampy, at least you didn't get yourself shot. Oh, wait, you did!" She laughs as she moves off up the stairs. It's not a happy laugh.
[18:37:49]	Wanderlust	smiles at Swampy, trying to be reassuring. "No, just a few hours. It's lucky we found this place, I don't think I could have performed an operation on wounds that serious, and given the conditions it would have been even harder." He nuzzles her again. "You really scared me." He says softly.
[18:39:06]	Edna_Stonetalon	sighs, she had hoped a little nap would of helped Shimmer but guess not "Guess it's my fault Shimmer..."
[18:41:03]	Swamp_Shadow	Closing her eyes, Swamp Shadow's blurring vision becoming too much for her, she starts as she sees red words and numbers flash across the darkness behind her eyelids. "What the hell!" she shouts, her eyes snapping back open, but the techno babble is still there.
[18:42:38]	Shimmershy	paused a moment in the staircase, gritting her teeth and lowering her ears. She did her best to swallow something inside. "No... It's not your fault Edna. Or Swamp Shadow's. Or anyone else. I... I really shouldn't be around anypony else right now." She shook her head, before bolting off up the stairs.
[18:43:43]	Edna_Stonetalon	facetalons "Lets go get her before something else tries to kill her."
[18:44:24]	Swamp_Shadow	sits up, shaking her head and blinking repeatedly. "Get out of mah head! Ah don't know what your tryin' to say, damn it!"
[18:45:06]	Edna_Stonetalon	"And Swamp Thang seems to have gone mad. Wonderful

[18:47:02]	Night_Wind	coughs softly and scuffs a hoof along the ground. "Ah, well, regardless of whose fault it is, it's in the past. We're here and we need to work with what we've got."
[18:47:05]	Wanderlust	starts to panic a little at Swampy starts to move about. He gently restrains her, not wanting to hurt her by accident. "Swampy, please, calm down! You're still healing! I think I know what's going on, but you'll need to relax before I can explain."
[18:48:45]	Swamp_Shadow	looks at Wander, obviously scared as tears start to form in her right eye, but not her left. "What the hell's all these words jumping around in mah eyes?"
[18:50:05]	Night_Wind	turns and looks at Swampy. "Oh, you may have just a wee bit of metal in your head...in the form of wiring. You're now hi-tech like me!"
[18:50:24]	Edna_Stonetalon	"Wake the doc up. It'll know. Fumbles lets go find Shimmer. Just want to make sure she don't get killed or turn something on. Something ain't right about this place"
[18:52:14]	Swamp_Shadow	"Ah... Ah'm a robot now?" Swamp Shadow asked, trying to blink away the tears as she touched her right eye. Something was off. It didn't give anymore like before. It felt like a marble inside her skull and it felt wrong.
[18:52:30]	Night_Wind	looks at Eddie. "Are you sure you should come along? Shimmer really isn't all that happy with you right now."
[18:52:48]	Wanderlust	holds her and he talks softly, trying not to cause her more panic. If he's right then he'd be scared too. "The robot mentioned implanting a "neural shunt" into you as part of the operation, it's probably being used to replace the destroyed tissue in your brain, taking over those functions so that you didn't wind up a vegetable. The numbers are probably a side effect of

[18:53:34]	Edna_Stonetalon	looks to Wander and Swampy "Swampy shouldn't be moving around yet and do you really think we're gunna get Wander to leave her?" checkng her rifle and moving to the door
[18:55:37]	Swamp_Shadow	is clearly shaken, repeatedly touching her eye and the scar on her forehead. "So... so this shunt thing's what's keepin' me alive?"
[18:56:59]	Wanderlust	nods and gives her a gently squeeze. "It's what's keeping you from falling comatose at least..."
[18:57:03]	Night_Wind	sighs and trots to the door as well, hoping to find and calm down Shimmer. She tosses back a parting comment to Swampy saying, "You aren't a robot. You're technically a cyberpony, but you're much more pony than cyber. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You're still the same mare just with a little tech in your head."
[19:00:26]	Edna_Stonetalon	nods "You're still a pony Swampy. Now lets go. We can do some scavenging on the way."
[19:03:18]	Swamp_Shadow	looks to the camera in the corner before returning her gaze to Wanderlust. Nodding, she smiles weakly to her friends. "Alright. Let's go find Shimmer then and see if this Stable has any guns of dragon slaying. We'll need'em if we gotta fight Gator."
[19:03:49]	Swamp_Shadow	She then swings her legs off the table and tries to stand, only to stumble and has to reach out and grab Wanderlust for balance. "Woah."

[19:06:33]	Wanderlust	panics himself as Swampy tries to get up, barely stopping her from falling. "Whoa, easy. You're still recovering, I don't think you should go exploring anywhere yet." He looks at her pleadingly.
[19:14:38]	Night_Wind	trots out to find Shimmer. "Now if I were an angry Shimmer, where would I go?" She considers a moment then turns towards the Atrium.
[19:15:50]	Swamp_Shadow	smiles. "Ah'm alright. Got mah legs under me now. Plus, Ah got y'all with me," she says before following Night_Wind towards the Atrium. Swampy had never seen a Stable before and Night Wind seemed to know what she was doing.
[19:17:20]	Somber	Down the hall is a large open space... and signs of a battle. Two tables are over turned and partially burned. There are more bones in charred barding behind them. From overhead hung an old and frayed banner that read 'find the solution'. There were all kinds of wires and cables running through the floor. The whole atrium looked like it had been
[19:17:27]	Edna_Stonetalon	keeps pace with Night_Wind, rifle at the ready
[19:18:31]	Somber	ransacked! There was a cafe on one side, stair down the other that was marked 'Living quarters' and a third stair marked "Laboratories."
[19:19:50]	Edna_Stonetalon	ponders "Lets check the living quarters. I /really/ don't like the idea of going to a lab right now"
[19:19:52]	Wanderlust	sighs, fidgeting with worry the entire time Swampy led them around the stable and staying close to her side.
[19:19:53]	Somber	More cameras mounted in the atrium watched silently.
[19:20:21]	Night_Wind	frowns at the remnants of the conflict and sighs, "Well, this is suitably horrible enough for one of the experimental Stables. I wonder what the experiment was here. I was going to suggest we check the cafe first since it's right here."
[19:20:56]	Edna_Stonetalon	shrugs "Why not" and walks on over to the cafe
[19:21:20]	Swamp_Shadow	nods. "Yeah. There might be some useable supplies. If this Stable's been sealed up since the war, then the food and water down here might be Phage-free."
[19:21:55]	Night_Wind	follows along behind Edna. The griffin is the better shot and besides, she's short enough for the alicorn to fire over her head without worry.
[19:22:40]	Somber	There were at least a dozen gutted terminals on the tables in the atrium; all of them had been cleaned out. In the cafe were another dozen atriums. Posters hung on the walls, faded and curling. "Find the Answer." and "Find the Solution." There were pictures of ponies in lab coats and in utility barding and in surgical garb. More curiously, though, some
[19:23:08]	Somber	pony had spray painted pink butterflies on the wall.... and somepony else had crossed them out with purple paint.
[19:27:30]	Wanderlust	spies a somewhat intact terminal and starts pressing a few keys. Maybe he could figure out more about the device inside Swampy if the terminal was still functioning.
[19:31:06]	Edna_Stonetalon	pokes around, searching through the various bits of junk left "If I didn't know better I'd say this was a makeshift armory... I'm starting to get the impression that some sort of mini war went on down hear."

[19:31:48]	Night_Wind	points to the butterflies on the wall with the purple paint through them. "Pink and blue butterflies are Fluttershy's cutie mark. It's why the Ministry of Peace adopted it as the symbol to put on all standardized medical boxes. Occasionally you'll see one without, but those are either repainted or from some other source. The purple though..." She points at her indigo chest.
[19:31:48]	Night_Wind	"...it's why purple unicorns are purple, just like Twilight Sparkle, head of the Ministry of Arcane Science."
[19:32:11]	Somber	Just a few smashed, flimsy dart guns and rubber... rubber! Batons...
[19:32:38]	Swamp_Shadow	looks around, pocketing some spent spark batteries for later recycling and notices a safe behind the counter. Just as she's about to hop the counter, Swampy notices Shimmershy watching them from the Overmare's office window, smiles, and waves at her. "Ah found Shimmer."
[19:32:43]	Night_Wind	finishes, "I think we may be looking at some kind of scholarly conflict that...got out of hoof. Just a guess..."
[19:32:55]	Swamp_Shadow	then nods towards the office window.
[19:33:52]	Edna_Stonetalon	looks up and waves at Shimmershy as well "I really hope she don't open the door"
[19:34:00]	Shimmershy	snorts from where she's watching, taking the time to glare down at Swamp Shadow.
[19:37:24]	Swamp_Shadow	smiles uneasily as Shimmershy glares down at her. "Wow. She's really mad at me, huh?
[19:38:33]	Edna_Stonetalon	"I don't think it's you she's mad at. We know where she is now. I think we should just give her a little space and keep poking around"

[19:42:02]	Shimmershy	continued to watch the others down below, clearly talking to herself. Or possibly at them. But the soundproofing in the Stable was fortunately(?) good enough to make it unclear what she was actually saying.
[19:43:04]	Night_Wind	trots to the only semi-working terminal in the room and peers at it. "Say, do we have some scrap electronics I can borrow? I think I can fix this up enough to get into it."
[19:43:42]	Swamp_Shadow	takes a bobby pin between her teeth and goes to work, her new friend cheering her on, just as the bobby pin looks like it's about to snap, the safe gives a nice little click and the door pops open. "Alright. Thanks for the support, Clem," Swampy mumbles to herself as she checks out the contents of the hidden safe.
[19:44:41]	Edna_Stonetalon	"Yeah hang on Fumbles I think I got some." digging out the asked for scrap electronics "Hear ya go. Make it count it's the only one I got"
[19:46:54]	Night_Wind	turns to Edna with a smile. "Thanks, Eddie!" she says and takes the electronics to patch into the ailing computer. "I'll try to take it nice and slow and hopefully not lock myself out."
[19:47:21]	Swamp_Shadow	"Heck yeah! Jackpot! We got some meds, some chems, some booze, and some books!" Swampy cheers as she stands on her back legs with the haul of good in her forelegs. Setting the Big Book of Arcane Science, the Science Magazine, the two med-x syringes, three packs of Mintals, and two bottles of whiskey on teh cafe counter. "Somepony was wanting to have a party under somepony's noses."
[19:48:48]	Edna_Stonetalon	takes the whiskey "I'll take those"
[19:50:05]	Swamp_Shadow	takes one of the Mintals packs before pushing the book and magazine to Night Wind. "This seems more your speed, Professor Nighty." She then smiles at Wander. "Maybe you can use the Med-X and chems, huh?"
[19:51:19]	Wanderlust	looks up from the terminal respond to Swampy and notices a small security camera in the room turning to look at him. He looks around the room and notices that it wasn't the only camera moving. "Sure, I wouldn't mind having those on hand. Also, I think someone is watching us." He says aloud, pointing a hoof at the cameras.
[19:53:31]	Night_Wind	nods and looks up from the innards of the terminal to take the books. She starts to stuff them in her bag but pauses a moment to check the book and see if it has any tips on terminals.
[19:53:54]	Swamp_Shadow	"Yeah..." Swampy mutters before stopping for a moment and sighing.
[19:54:11]	Edna_Stonetalon	stows the booze and walks up to the camera, tapping on the lenses "Anyone home"

[19:57:52]	Swamp_Shadow	suddenly starts before rushing over to Edna and putting her hoof around her. "Hey, Ah got something behind the bar Ah wanna show you. Maybe you'll know something about it since it might pertain to griffins," she says hastily before trying to lead Edna away from the camera.
[19:58:46]	Wanderlust	cringes as Swampy runs around. He mutters something about "taking it easy" but keeps it to herself. She seemed in good spirits and he didn't want to ruin it by bringing up her brush with death again.
[19:58:50]	Edna_Stonetalon	blink blinks "Ummm.... alright..."
[20:01:34]	Swamp_Shadow	taking her behind the bar and ducking low, out of the cameras' view, she points to the safe and the note reading 'Don't let the purple catch you with these Mint-als.' "Clem seems to not want us messing with the cameras. They might be bad news," Swampy whispers when Edna joins her in kneeling beside the safe.
[20:04:26]	Swamp_Shadow	"Huh?" Swampy says suddenly, twisting her face in confusion before shaking her head.
[20:05:45]	Edna_Stonetalon	sighs "Looking even more like a mini war now"
[20:09:34]	Night_Wind	finishes rewiring the terminal and sits back to watch as it comes on. Not surprisingly, it asks for username and password, but working from instructions in the book, she enters the diagnostic mode and begins tappity tapping at the keyboard. At first she seems confident that it shouldn't be too hard. She has a book for reference, right? As she continues though, she begins
[20:09:34]	Night_Wind	to sweat. "That should've worked! What am I doing wrong?"
[20:09:34]	Night_Wind	bites her left hoof as she taps out password after password, getting closer to failure each time. Finally it's down to the wire. One wrong guess... She whimpers as she clicks, fearing that she wasted valuable electronics. The screen goes black and her heart does for a second. Then it comes to life and she almost faints with relief. "It worked. It worked! YES!" She pumps
[20:09:34]	Night_Wind	a hoof in the air and grins like an idiot.
[20:12:37]	Swamp_Shadow	looks over the cafe bar at her alicorn friend and smiles. "Great work, Nighty."
[20:14:00]	Swamp_Shadow	nods to Edna. "Maybe we shoulld keep looks around for scavenge. We need whatever we can get against Gator. That dragon's crazy and prone towards burning things and ponies he doesn't like."
[20:15:55]	Edna_Stonetalon	"Yeah alri..... did you say dragon? Gator is a mother fucking dragon!?"
[20:16:55]	Swamp_Shadow	smiles sheepishly. "Yeah... Ah forgot to mention that, didn't Ah? He... He's a teenage dragon, so that's not as bad as an adult, right?"
[20:17:07]	Wanderlust	gulps. "Well, I suppose that explains why she was so afraid of him..." he mutters to himself.
[20:18:28]	Swamp_Shadow	"Yeah, well, he tried to rape me, kill me, and steal mah prize winning gator so Ah shot him in the ass with a slitherer venom laced crossbow bolt. Didn't kill him, but it sure as hell pissed him off," Swampy explained, adjusting her hat nervously.
[20:19:36]	Edna_Stonetalon	looks down at her rifle "I'm gunna need a bigger gun"
[20:19:39]	Night_Wind	grins back at Swampy then looks at Wander. "Hey, Wander, come over here. Those PipBucks have a lot of memory in them, right? This terminal was a top of the line model - probably why it's still working. You can download all the files in it if you want, but just from skimming this, it looks like this place was fine right up until some of the Stable machinery started to fail.
[20:19:40]	Night_Wind	Looks like there were two major camps on the issue of what to do about it."
[20:21:30]	Night_Wind	taps the screen pointing to one entry. "See? One group wanted to open the Stable and go do what they could to help the wasteland." She advances to another entry. "The other group was looking for 'the answer' or 'the solution' to fix the Stable so they could stay safe inside. Looks like the overmare was in the latter group, and she ordered that no one was to leave for the
[20:21:30]	Night_Wind	safety of the Stable as it could reveal the location of the Stable and it might cause flooding within the Stable."

[20:25:04]	Wanderlust	walks over to Night, still eyeing the camera's nervously. "Yeah pipbucks have a good amount of memory, unless you're intending to put the whole every bit of data in the terminal in here I'm sure it'll fit."
[20:25:46]	Night_Wind	shakes her head. "Things grew tense but with no Security, it was mostly just brawls with hooves, rubber batons, and tranq guns. Mostly. The last entry though is 'Explosions heard in the atrium.' and then there's only garbage text." She sighs. "That's the thing about scientists. They inherently refuse to believe that limitations cannot be surpassed until adequate testing
[20:25:47]	Night_Wind	has been done. If you still haven't surpassed the limitation, you haven't tested adequately." (9.9);
[20:26:44]	Edna_Stonetalon	rolls her eyes "Egg heads"
[20:27:51]	Swamp_Shadow	suddenly tenses up and her eyes go wide. "They didn't..." she mutters.
[20:28:33]	Edna_Stonetalon	raises an eyebrow "Didn't what?"
[20:30:59]	Night_Wind	averts her eyes and scuffs a hoof along the floor, trying to pretend her comment about scientists didn't apply to her as well. She glances at Swampy and nods. "They probably did..."
[20:31:02]	Swamp_Shadow	suddenly sits down hard, finding it hard to breathe.
[20:31:23]	Night_Wind	trots over to pat Swampy on the back. "Easy now."
[20:31:25]	Swamp_Shadow	"They... they...
[20:33:18]	Swamp_Shadow	"The whole Stable..." she mutters, looking completely horrified and dejected.
[20:34:33]	Wanderlust	hurries to her side, afraid that the emotional stress might be too much for her right now. He pulls her close and tries to comfort her the best he can. "Just relax, it's not good to be so stressed after such serious surgery."
[20:35:17]	Edna_Stonetalon	"Someone mind telling me whats going on?"
[20:40:02]	Night_Wind	taps her hoof against her chin. "Well, I just told you what the terminal says about the Stable, Shimmer is still mad at us, Swampy seems to be calling her new cybernetics Clem, and I think she believes that the Stable was converted to robotic or digital form to preserve the minds of the Stable population since they couldn't save their bodies. Is that about right, Swampy?"
[20:40:36]	Swamp_Shadow	"We need to get Shimmer and get outta here."
[20:42:10]	Swamp_Shadow	seems extremely shaken before nodding to Night Wind.
[20:43:25]	Swamp_Shadow	"Ah... Ah think Ah know a way out and around Gator, but it's dangerous..." Swampy says, swallowing hard.
[20:43:37]	Edna_Stonetalon	"They did what to all the ponies here?"
[20:45:32]	Night_Wind	sighs. "You know a way to deal with a teenage dragon? Yes, I was listening and let me tell you, that kind of news does absolutely nothing for your concentration when you're trying to hack a terminal! Anyway, we don't know that they're hostile. They were scientists before all of this devolved into brutality. It's possible they've concluded their actions were non-optimal or
[20:45:32]	Night_Wind	however they might wish to put it."
[20:45:48]	Swamp_Shadow	"Hold on, Edna. Ah'm having trouble understanding... Never was good at charades." Swamp Shadow whispers.
[20:50:12]	Swamp_Shadow	"Alright. Ah've got a plan. Let's get Shimmer and get outta here." Swampy says, suddenly coming out of her stupor and hopping to her hooves. "Let's be careful though. There's guard robots around here somewhere. They might not be too friendly." she whispers again.
[20:50:57]	Swamp_Shadow	blinks, swallows, and sighs. "Okay... Scratch that. Not friendly at all."
[20:53:01]	Edna_Stonetalon	groans "Now they're robots? For fucks sake if we get out of hear.... I don't even know"
[20:53:35]	Wanderlust	looks at Swampy confused and a little worried. "The freakiness of the Stable aside, are you sure we need to leave so soon after recovering? I'm sure you and Edna at the very least could used more rest before we go back into danger."
[20:54:15]	Swamp_Shadow	turns back to Wander, determination in her eyes. "The longer we wait, the less air we'll have for our escape."

[20:55:42]	Swamp_Shadow	"Yeah, the only air in here is what was let in when we came in. They all sufficated." Swamp Shadow whispers, not wanting the cameras to hear.
[20:56:40]	Wanderlust	whines in frustration, clearly wanting more time for everyone to rest, especially his Swampy, but if there's no more air then they didn't have much option. "...fine, but as soon as we're safe you're getting more rest." He saysback to Swampy with equal determination.

[20:58:56]	Night_Wind	glances at Wander. "Doesn't your PipBuck have EFS? That should tell you if we're alone down here or not."
[21:00:07]	Wanderlust	nods. "Yes, it should. Fat lot of good that's done us in the past though."
[21:00:31]	Night_Wind	sighs, "Look, just check it, okay?"
[21:01:45]	Swamp_Shadow	starts walking. "Come on. Let's go get Shimmershy. Hopefully she's calmed down... Or at least escaping is enough to get her on our side."
[21:02:00]	Wanderlust	does as Night asks. "Nothing I can see, if there is something there its hidden really..." He staggers a bit and shakes his head, as if trying to clear it. "A bit lightheaded, sorry."
[21:03:48]	Edna_Stonetalon	groans "Guns out. Swampy lead the way. We get Shimmer then leg it"

[21:08:59]	Wanderlust	pulls out his rifle and follows, hoping that everyone is simply being overly cautious. The healing supplies they had were already running low again, if things got nasty they might wind up burying someone... He shakes his head again, banishing the thought and focusing on keeping his eyes forward and on his EFS.

[21:18:28]	Swamp_Shadow	knocks on the Overmare office door. "Shimmer! Come on out. We found a way outta here and we're not leavin' without ya!"
[21:21:42]	Night_Wind	shuffles her hooves uncertainly behind Swampy, hoping Shimmershy will at least cooperate enough to open the door.
[21:22:44]	Edna_Stonetalon	just keeps watching for robots
[21:22:49]	Shimmershy	goes silent a few long moments and finally moves up to the door, reaching out to slowly open it. "You're sure you know a way out? You're not going to get lost in the hallways?" [21:26:38]	Night_Wind	blinks. "Well, there's that PipBuck that's already wired to do exactly that. We could use it to open up the Stable door, but that would just let Gator and the others inside. [21:28:23]	Shimmershy	swallows and slowly does her best to calm down, nodding to Swamp Shadow. "Then let's get out of here as quick as we can. Gator will probably give up if we don't come out in a few hours anyway."
[21:28:47]	Night_Wind	frowns. "Well, that's a nice idea, Eddie, but how do we get out past them? Also, what's to prevent them from just opening the door again?"
[21:30:37]	Swamp_Shadow	"Come on, we're leaving through the back door," Swampy says before turning back to lead them through the hallways towards the labs.

[21:33:54]	Shimmershy	looks up to Edna and Swamp Shadow with a frown. "Why bother?" She pushed past the others towards the stairs down. "Better off just getting out of here. Doubt Gator would be dumb enough to come into a Stable anyway."

[21:35:44]	Night_Wind	blinks at Swampy. "We found a back door?" she asks as she follows behind the green pony.

[21:42:43]	Swamp_Shadow	"We'll try and help ya when we can, Shimmer. But first let's go." Swampy says before leading the group to the door leading to the labs. "Alright... Here we go. Ready?"
[21:43:45]	Night_Wind	nods and brushes a wing against Shimmer and another against Edna. "We're here for you, and we'll help you any way we can. We just need to get somewhere less deadly first."
[21:44:12]	Edna_Stonetalon	sighs "Yeah lets get moving. Guns up and watch you corners. Wander keep that E.F.S. thing up"
[21:45:28]	Swamp_Shadow	nods, takes a deep breath, and opens the door to the labs.
[21:45:31]	Wanderlust	has been watching it the entire time, at least in between bouts of being dizzy. He gives Edna a nod and returns to doing so.
[21:46:27]	Shimmershy	breathes a hiss through her teeth and sighs quietly, nodding to Night Wind. "Thanks.. I... I may need it." She continues on with the group near the middle.
[21:54:52]	Somber	The stair reached to the lab was wide enough for four ponies to make their way down stairs. The ozone reek grows and it becomes hard to breathe down here. The air seems to have a strange haze to it. More bodies were draped over the floors. "Find the solution" was blazed across the wall in bold banners. [21:56:44]	Somber	is good science." were on posters on the walls. "Remember Twilight" was spray painted on the walls with star glyphs. The power cables were draped all over the place, being drug towards some distant location. At the bottom there were four directions. "Utility" and "Reactor" to the north. "Biology" to the east. "Chemistry" to the south. "Arcane science"
[21:57:15]	Somber	to the west. Dozens, of cables ran down the west passage.
[21:57:46]	Night_Wind	lets Swampy lead them. "Air's getting bad down here. Must not be much airflow in this place. Which way does Clem say to go now?"
[21:58:10]	Edna_Stonetalon	"Where to *pant* Swampy?"
[21:59:56]	Wanderlust	points a hoof roughly towards the west as soon as they are safely at the bottom. "I have a hostile bar over towards the Arcane Science area. It seems clear everywhere else." He says, levelling his rifle in that direction in case it knew they were there and came looking.
[22:00:19]	Swamp_Shadow	stops, looks at the Arcane Science sign, before pointing to the West and quietly sneaking forward into the labs.

[22:03:12]	Wanderlust	stays back a bit, not wanting to get Swampy caught by blundering in after her. He aims his rifle at the door and waits for Swampy to return.
[22:04:10]	Shimmershy	frowns a little and moves with the others, trying to keep her head down and less likely to be attacked. Hopefully.
[22:05:47]	Somber	"Leave!" a mechanical voice squeals from the west. "You shall not interfere in our calculations!"
[22:06:21]	Swamp_Shadow	"Right!" Everyone here's Swampy yell as she suddenly bolts out the room! "Robot!" she yells, firing a parting shot as she jumps back around the corner.
[22:07:07]	Edna_Stonetalon	aims her rifle at the door, waiting for it "An objections to me shooting it?"
[22:08:01]	Night_Wind	sighs softly and is about to follow the others when the voice shouts at them and Swampy comes running back. "Oh dear. That didn't last long."
[22:09:22]	Shimmershy	blinks in surprise as Swamp Shadow comes rushing back past the group. "We don't want to disturb your fucking calculations! We just want to get out of here so we don't suffocate or get eaten or something!" She sighed and mumbled something unhappy under her breath.
[22:13:53]	Swamp_Shadow	keeps firing on the robot, waiting for her friends to come help. "Little help here!" she shouts.
[22:14:47]	Edna_Stonetalon	runs up are help Swampy with her rifle
[22:14:48]	Wanderlust	hurries into the room, rifle at the ready and prepared to get Swampy out of there if things even hinted at getting bad.
[22:20:52]	Night_Wind	follows behind the others, not being too useful in tight spaces and besides, she's got the best chance of firing over the others heads.
[22:21:03]	Wanderlust	adds his fire to Swampy's, hoping that she was right that this was the way. He didn't want to have to fight the robotic denizens of a whole stable, they'd be overwhelmed before they got out.
[22:22:12]	Somber	One bullet hits the robot, but the air around it flickers as the bullet bounces right off!
[22:23:49]	Somber	The robot resembled four hovering repair drones that had been welded together and mounted with tesla coils. Four claw arms pointed out at each corner and a dozen cameras ringed the machine.
[22:24:58]	Somber	The bolt penetrates the shield, but pings rather ineffectually off the metal casing of the robots.
[22:27:38]	Somber	Edna's round actually dents the side of the robot.
[22:27:40]	Edna_Stonetalon	fires from the hip trying to take it down "I hate robots!"
[22:29:22]	Somber	The robot suddenly hisses and blasts a stream of freezing white vapor over the companions, the chilling fog sapping the strength from all of them.

[22:41:54]	Night_Wind	decides that based on the results of everyone else's actions, her recharger rifle isn't going to cut it, so she raises her shield and charges past her friends into the room and past the robot to the door. "Stop this nonsense right now!" she yells and tries to telekinetically grab and turn the robot away from the door. "Wander, help me!"

[22:47:05]	Shimmershy	frowns, looking at the smoke pouring out of the room. "I am not going in there." She struggles to avoid heading further in, swallowing the part of her mind which keeps urging her to just go smash the thing in there. "We're not here to disturb your calculations or stop you from working or whatever. We just want out. There's another exit here which doesn't involve letting
[22:47:06]	Shimmershy	a lot of angry, violent raiders who would happily rip this place apart for scrap metal in. So I'd suggest you either let us past, or we'll go back up and open the doors so they can have all the loot they want."
[22:49:28]	Somber	The robot faces 360 degrees. there is no turning away. turning simply rotates it in a new direction.
[22:53:03]	Night_Wind	decides that based on the results of everyone else's actions, her recharger rifle isn't going to cut it, so she raises her shield and charges past her friends into the room and past the robot to the door. "Stop this nonsense right now!" she yells as she runs past the robot and starts working on the door with her telekinesis. "We just want to leave!"
[22:53:42]	Shimmershy	frowned a few moments. "Maybe we should check the other labs first? This place seems pretty tight." She didn't bother waiting for their answer, just turning to go and search the other rooms. Not like she was strong enough to drag them out anyway. Heading towards the entrance to the biology section. Doubtful there'd be much of use there against a robot, but hey, at least

[23:04:32]	Swamp_Shadow	"Fall back! There's probably a door release somewhere else! Shimmer's got the right idea!" Swampy calls out before taking one parting shot and falling back out of the room.
[23:05:46]	Somber	The arrow penitrates the shield, but bounces off the armor....
[23:12:12]	Edna_Stonetalon	backs out of the room shivering, firing a shot as she goes "S-shimmer has the right I-idea"
[23:17:37]	Night_Wind	sighs and turns around to race back out the way she came, shield still up. "Sorry for my friends! They're a bit shooty today!"
[23:29:05]	Shimmershy	stood near the entrance to the biology lab, looking inside.
